I rolled over for about the tenth time that morning. I did not want to get out of bed at all. I had spent the last fifteen minutes going over the pros and cons of getting up. I knew I only had so much time to debate, before I was forced to get up by Alice.
She constantly had things to discuss with me; I knew she only bothered for my approval so I would have no excuse to be upset over the wedding plans; however she ruined my hopes in ignoring the impending doom of this event.
I internally scolded myself as thinking of my marriage to Edward as impending doom. It was true, I was not looking forward to getting married, but it was more the ceremony itself than becoming Edward's wife.
I heard the door knob turn and I took a deep breath and sat up to face the hyper pixie-like vampire. It wasn't Alice who was standing at the door though, it was Edward. He walked over to the bed with a bowl of yogurt and spoon in his hand. He sat down next to me and handed me both of these things commanding me to eat to prepare for my day.
"Where's Alice," I asked as a scrambled in between his legs and rested my head on his chest "I told her she needed to give you one day of rest from her planning." I sighed, he was always so thoughtful.
"Thank you." I responded. "Anytime."
After a few moments of silence, besides the noises of me eating my breakfast, Edward slowly pushed me off his lap and stood up. "Carlisle would like to talk to me," he said. "Ok, go ahead. I'll be fine," I responded.
He went to the door opened it and turned to flash me my favorite crooked smile, then he diapered behind the now closed door. I put my empty bowl on the floor and groaned.
I went to the bathroom to shower. The hot water felt so good on my exhausted body. I came out of the shower with all traces of former irritation gone. I dried off and wrapped a towel around me.
I walked back into the bedroom to dress; of course he was there, just my luck I thought. He raised his eyebrows at me as he appraised me; I blushed and hurried towards his huge closet. I closed the door and dressed, stealing one of his t-shirts to wear.
I opened the closet door and looked at him; he had a photo album open on his lap. I stared at his face and my heart flopped in my chest.
He looked up at me a soon as he heard the stutter in my heartbeats. He smiled at me and motioned for me to come and sit next to him. I walked over and climbed on the bed next to him laying my head where his heart would be and listened to the steady flow of his breath. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders, kissed my forehead and pulled me closer. I stared down at the page the album was open to. The photo was very old and showed a man, a woman, and a young boy probably around sixteen. I looked closer and realized this was a picture of Edward and his parents. I gasped. He looked down at me and smiled.
"Tell me about them," I asked. He nodded and began a luscious story about the people his parents were. I got lost in the wonderful tone of his voice and was carried to a world I'd never lived in.
