"Charlotte you promised me this wouldn't be brought up again!" He yelled at me. I didn't know what to think anymore. I was trying everything in my power for this to not alway be the beginning of an end for us. But here we were once again faced with the same problem and no way out. "Harlen, this isn't my fault." How was I supposed to know that the Shadows had invaded our room.

Harlen and Charlotte begin the search for more Forgotten, but only after killing her sister. Harlen decides it is a good idea to go do what they'd planned and head for California. But along the way they are drawn to something in a little town. Harlen's sure it must be a Forgotten. Though Charlotte thinks that it could be, at least in the beginning. She soon learns that that is very much so not the case. The town is run by Shadows, which soon makes for a crazy stay and the beginning of a vacation could become the end for one of them.
