Chapter One: The Twin Stones

I tap my foot impatiently, scanning the small town silently. That stupid jolteon, where is he! He's five minutes late and I'm on a schedule. I haven't slept all night, going from town to town and collecting the goods. This is my last stop but Charge is late. How hard is it to remember where you hid illegal rare items? Not that hard. The first rays of sunlight are peeking over the trees. I hiss quietly at them. Being an umbreon, I don't like sunlight. That's why I collect at night. Plus, there are normally less cops out. Finally, the door to the small lab opens and the young jolteon steps out, holding a bag in his mouth. He trots over quickly to me and drops the bag. "Your late. I hope you have something good or else..." "Don't worry." He says and spills out the contents for me to see. There's a heart scale, two dozen assorted rare berries, a big rare mushroom, two small pearls, and a few bags of Stardust. There's also a small bag of something. I pick it up. "What's this?" "I heard the professor talking about them. They're rare, mythical orbs, said to summon the legends. Inside there's a Soul Dew, Lustrous Orb, Griseous Orb, Red Orb, and a Blue Orb. He put them in a safe, but I know the password." "Hmm, well I guess they'll have some value on the black market for being tied to those fairy tails..." I gather the stuff up and put it in my bag. Then I pull out ten small slips of paper. "Enchanted, keep one on you at all times. If a bully has intentions for hurting you, physically or mentally, he will suddenly decide that he has better things to do. The enchantment only works once, so use it wisely." I turn to walk away when he says. "I need more." I whip around and growl. "Look, you get what you get and you don't throw a fit." "I-I have something else..." He pulls out one that thing from the bag, a little black box. He flicks it open and two little, colorful balls stare back at me. "Mega Stones... Charge this is wonderful! Double! Hold on..." I pull out ten more strips of paper and hand them to him. "Do you know how much I can sell these for?! Oh wow." I slide them towards him and tuck the box safely in my bag. "A pleasure doing business with you Charge but I gotta run!" I hear a lock click open and make a dash for the trees. Mega Stones! Oh this day just got so much better then I tought it would be!
