Ok....I started playing this new game, Aion, and it's amazing! I had to write a story about it. :)

My Hetalia fic (Temple Raid) will be worked on! I have been lacking the inspiration to write anything for it, but my muse is back and hopefully will be staying for a while!! :D

Asirna belongs to me, but the game, Aion, belongs to the creator, NCSoft.

Asirna pulled oxygen into her lungs with a sharp intake of breath. She stood on the edge of a steep cliff face, teetering on the brink of the high drop-off, which stood about a thousand feet from the floor of the earth. Her pointed chin tilted towards the moon, glittering far above her head. Slender, pale arms glowed under the soft caresses of moonlight as they were lifted at her sides. She moved until there was a straight line across her arms and shoulders. When Asirna was satisfied with the line of her upper body, she slowly rotated her hands until her palms were facing the starlit sky.

Ever muscle in Asirna's body locked into place and her deep emerald eyes slid shut. A cold breeze nipped at the exposed skin on her forearms, torso, and legs as she stood poised there, completely unmoving. She was especially conscious of her ramrod-straight posture never relaxing from the position that she was in.

Then, all of the built-up tension in all of the muscles of her body exploded at once, and Asirna vaulted into the midnight-blue sky and began the descent toward earth in a steep nosedive.

Asirna's arms moved to the sides of her slender body under the force of the wind. Long strands of coal-black hair flew behind her head, dancing to the insane tempo of the harsh gales. Rose pink lips twisted into a broad smile, displaying brilliantly white teeth. The bell-like peals of laughter that rolled out of her mouth never reached her wind-deafened ears.

It was only at the very last moment, when disaster seemed imminent, that Asirna unfurled wings the same coal-black color as her hair. The very same wind that previously assaulted Asirna's petite frame and attempted to bring her to her death now carried her through the long, dusty, reddish-brown canyon with ease.

A content expression was prominent on her kind, heart-shaped face. The feeling of complete freedom pooled in her stomach and warmed her whole body.

She dared a glance at the fast-disappearing sun and the dread that shot through her body wiped the happy expression off of her face and made her fear known to the outside world.

"Oh crap," Asirna said, beating her wings with more fervor. "I am soooo late!!"
