"Good luck." Paige's voice echoed in Sylvester's ear as he entered the hospital. He approached the receptionist with Paige behind him, "I'm here to see Megan O' Brien." Sylvester replied with confidence.

The receptionist nodded her head, "I'll have the nurse bring her out, you two can wait in the waiting room. Sylvester headed over to the chairs around the room and sat down. Paige gave him a quick hug squeezed his hand and replied "Good luck." into his ear again before rushing out the door. Sylvester stared at the clock to pass the time as he calculated trigonometric functions like Walter always suggested. His hands were sweaty and he was shaking. He was nervous, that was actually the least he could say, he was terrified. But he was here for the good reason, he was going to propose to Megan.

"Sylvester? What are you doing here so late?" A cheerful voice interrupted his train of thought. Megan's voice. Sylvester turned his gaze to the left of him and the voice replied "Over here silly." To which he spun around to see Megan holding her crutches a nurse behind her. She was dressed in an ivory tank top and wearing blue jeans yet she was still gorgeous.

"I'll leave you two alone." The nurse replied as she helped Megan sit down in the chair next to Sylvester's. Immediately, he took Megan's hands in his own and held them. As the nurse left he boldly stated, "It is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all."

Megan recognized the quote and nodded her head, "That's a Shakespearean quote what are you using it to mean?"

Sylvester's hands were slipping off of her's but the sound of her soothing voice calmed him and he gripped her again. "Well, that's how I feel..." Sylvester replied pausing as he looked for her reaction which was a smile so he continued. "...I'd rather be with you and be happy for the time I have you than never have you in the first place." Megan beamed another grin to him which convinced him to keep going with what he had practiced. "And... and when someone feels this much for someone, they could say three words. But those words are common phrase, we exclaim them all the time to each other. But there are four words I'd rather say to you today, 50% of the population would skip out to say these words in two words."

He stopped in fear Megan smiled to him and replied "Go on Sylvester."

Sylvester was still quiet as he got off his chair, bent on one knee before Megan's chair. He slipped his hand in his pocket before freeing it seconds later with a smile. "Some would say this as living in the moment, and that's the best way to live isn't it." He took a deep breath and brought the box he had removed from his pocket toward her. "So, what I'm trying to say is..." Sylvester froze in fear he was terrified, so close to the homestretch but he was so afraid. So before he broke down he spat out the words though he was scared he kept his voice steady and confident. "So... Megan O' Brien, will you do the honor of marrying me?" Sylvester pried open the ring box to reveal a small elegant ring. It had a small diamond on it and surrounding it was an array of purple stones. Megan gasped and brought her free hands to her mouth before croaking "Yes!" Then coughing before replying yes again. Sylvester softly slipped the ring on to her fourth finger and applied a small kiss to it. Then Megan pulled him closer and kissed him softly on the lips. After the moment had ended, Megan looked at her finger with the shiny stone and cocked a smile to Sylvester, "By the way your proposal was 7 words." Then she laughed and kissed her fiance yet again this time with more passion, Live in the moment much. She thought to herself, it truly is the best way to live life after all.
