I don't own this.
Dear Mrs. Ketchum,
Please hold onto this letter for your son. It it important that he read it. Thank you.
Dear Ash,
I think you and everybody else deserves an explanation. You said you'd travel with me when my tenth birthday came, but I left before you got here. I had a perfectly good reason-several, in fact-for that.
First of all, you dress just like my childhood friend Hilbert. It would be really awkward for me when you two met up in the Isshu League tournament. I sorta like him, but if you dare tell him that I'll punch your guts out. And I couldn't stand being embarassed in front of him.
Second, you have a reputation for getting into trouble. Just how lucky are you to have lasted this long? I have spent a lot of time studying your past adventures, which brings me to these conclusions: You have died three times during your Pokemon Journey and yet are alive and well. It's been thirteen years since you turned ten; how does that work? Would this apply to me?
Third, I don't intend to be Misty's little pet after you go. Which is what I believe happened to both May and Dawn.
Fourth, what had really happened was this. I got ready two days before you came. I had decided which one I would choose (Tepig), I had decided what to bring and what I would do. Then Cheren came by, and he told me you had left behind Brock in the last region. Cheren is not one to lie; he finds information to suit his own purposes. Due to his calculation, you would begin traveling with the first gym leader, the dominant one of the three. That would be Cilan. That simply wouldn't do. You can't travel with two friends with the exact same goal for very long. Nobody can.
I've always wanted to be a Pokemon Connaisseuse.
So I left early. Professor Juniper allowed it. I got my Pokemon and was on my way. But Cheren ran into me again and told me how everyone was wondering where I was. I finally got the chance to write, but since you're impossible to trace here, I sent it to your mother. If you're reading this, she's obviously given it to you.
Best wishes,
Hilda
P.S. Good luck to Iris, too. Misty won't like her at all.
P.P.S. No, I'm not related to Hilbert. So don't ask.
Author's note: Wow, this had a ton of mixed-up terms. Sorry. Hope the edited version (This one) is easier to understand. And this is the second time I've had to edit it. Would you mind giving me some positive reviews so I don't hate myself for this?
