A/N: Hey I'm back. I apologize for my long absence I sat on my laptop and cracked the screen and couldn't get a new one til now. Holy crap the finale freaked me out! Seriously I couldn't sleep for two weeks. Glad Ducky, Vance, Gibbs, Ziva, Abby and Jimmy (finally a main character and in the opening credits!) are coming back. Haven't heard anything official about Sean or Michael though (Pauley said in an interview she was returning even though she hasn't signed yet.
If I owned it Tony would defiantly be coming back.
"Daddy?" A small voice asked.
Tony rolled over in bed and saw his four year old daughter Catlin Talia Kelly DiNozzo looking at him. He looked back at her she had Ziva's Israeli skin and hair right down to the widow's peak but, she had his green eyes and smile.
"What is it Kitty?" He asked.
"Daddy Keegan McGee told me that Grandpa Gibbs had a little girl like me but, she died." Katie told him.
"What?" Tony asked. Keegan Michael McGee was the adopted son of Abby and Timmy he was almost six compared to Katie DiNozzo and Penny (Penelope Gloria) McGee who were both four they even shared a birthday. The McGee's also had a two year old Krista Catlin they had agreed not to have any more natural children after the placenta slipped out at thirty five weeks with Krista thankfully both mom and baby were healthy Krista only spent a couple days in the NICU. Abby had had her tubes tied and McGee had had a vasectomy to ensure there were no more Scuito-McGee babies. Tony and Ziva had Catlin and Ziva was seven months pregnant with a son. They weren't going to try for any more children but if they got pregnant they would not be devastated.
Is it true Daddy?" Katie asked.
Tony sighed and scooped Katie in his arms.
"Yeah it is Katie she died in an accident a long time ago her name was Kelly like your middle name." Tony explained. He wasn't going to lie to her since McGee had called and said Keegan had told Penny the same thing and they had been honest with her.
"Am I going to die too?" Katie asked.
Tony held Katie in his arms he looked at Ziva ordinarily this would have woken her but, her pregnancy caused her to have the ability to sleep through the apocalypse. Then he looked at Katie lying in his arms she had fallen asleep and he prayed wouldn't remember the question come morning.
"I hope not Katie" He whispered brushing the hair out of her face.
Tony took another look at his family thinking of Gibbs and the family he lost. How did he live with that every day? Tony wondered.
Tony remembered when Gibbs gave the DiNozzo's his house after they lost their apartment when Ziva was newly pregnant with Catlin the McGee's had bought the house across the street, Gibbs bought a smaller place (which had been Kelly's dream house) just down the street, and the Palmers only lived two blocks away with their three year old son Ryan. Tony wasn't sure he could cope with the loss of any of his family and prayed he wouldn't have to. Though he remembered Rule 8 he never truly understood it until that moment.
"I love you guys" he whispered.
