Rachel was always an outsider at McKinley High School and that's why, when she was invited to HBIC Quinn Fabray's house party she couldn't quite believe it.
"Berry, house party at mine this Friday at 7pm. Be there."
At first she thought it was one of the cheerleader's evil pranks to try and humiliate her but that afternoon when she went to glee club she overheard the rest of the glee kids talking about how they too had been invited. 'Quinn wouldn't want to humiliate us all would she? She is in the club after all, she wouldn't want everyone hating her'.
"Rachel, are you going to Quinn's party on Friday?" Tina asked sitting down beside her
"I'm not sure, what if it is a trick, what if she wants to humiliate us all? Or just me?" Rachel was starting to worry. She didn't want to miss out on a fun party but also didn't feel like having any tricks played on her.
"Don't be silly, Quinn isn't like that anymore. Besides, it's just for us glee lot anyway" Tina tries to reassure her.
"Oh, okay. Ye sure then" Rachel replied feeling a bit better about the situation.
"Great! Mike and I will pick you up!"
~Friday~
The party had been on for a few hours now and Rachel could not see straight. Thinking it would be best she decided to go outside and get some fresh air. The first thing Rachel noticed when she stepped outside was the blonde blur sitting at the end of the porch on the swing. Sitting down beside the person and squinting her eyes, she realised who it was.
"Quinn! What are you doing out here? You should be inside enjoying the party not sat out on your own in the cold!"
Quinn let out a small laugh "whoa, slow down there, Berry. I'm having plenty fun, just taking a breather"
"Oh. Okay, fair enough, I'm doing that too. It's a really great party, Quinn, I'm really glad you invited me"
"It was no problem, Rach" Quinn paused. "I'm actually really glad you came" she added in almost a whisper.
"Really?" Rachel couldn't quite believe what she was hearing, she thought Quinn hated her.
"Yea" Quinn looked away, embarrassed.
"You know Quinn, I've never really noticed before, not until now in this moonlight, really quite how beautiful you are" The brunette didn't realise what she was saying until it was too late to stop. She stood up to leave but before she could get anywhere Quinn grasped her hand stopping her movements.
"Thank you, Rachel. That means so much coming from you. You're absolutely gorgeous," and with that Quinn pulled her down into a passionate kiss that Rachel immediately reciprocated.
