Jett Orion, aged 21, had recently graduated from college with flying colours. Now school had ended, there was nothing to hold her to the ground. So she drifted.
It was 23rd March 2005 and, like any other day, she was heading off to work. However, at the fast pace she was walking she found herself walking straight into the man who would change her life forever.
Doctor POV
"Oh my God, are you alright?" she asked once he had helped her back up.
"Yeah, I'm fine," he replied, giving a small smile.
"Thank goodness," she breathed, "Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going."
"No, really, I'm fine," he insisted, taking a proper look at the woman.
She had dark green, almost black, hair and chocolate brown eyes. She was wearing a simple green dress with black leggings and knee-high boots. But round her neck was a silver chain joined to a silver fob watch.
The man, known formally as The Doctor, stiffened when he saw the accessory. There was no way someone of this time would wear one of those unless they were very fond of watches or...
"What's your name?" he asked.
"Jett. Jett Orion. You?"
"Oh, The Doctor."
She looked confused, "Your name is The Doctor?" she asked sceptically.
"Yup." He answered. "And by the way, that watch- where did you get it?"
She looked down in surprise as if she didn't know it was there. "Oh, this watch? Had it since I was a kid. Family heirloom, I think."
He looked back at the watch. He owned one himself, although he had never had the cause to use it.
"So, Doctor, why are you so interested about my watch? It's really nothing special."
"Nothing special?" he scoffed, "That watch is possibly the most important thing in your whole human life!"
He saw her raise her eyebrows at the word human. "You say that as if you're not," she observed.
"Come with me." he offered, hoping to find out who she really was. "I promise I'll answer everything."
She took his offered hand and followed him through the mazes of the London streets.
I know this is short but it is only the first of two intro chapters before I start on the episode 'Rose'.
