The Celebration: If They Had Spoken.

Luke stood aloof from the celebration. He was happy that the galaxy was free but he had lost his father in the process. He could feel Leia's eyes on him but he needed to get away.

He looked out over the small village and smiled at the sounds of celebration. The small natives really knew how to throw a party.

Then something he did not expect caught his eye. Two figures stood just outside the light of the nearest fire, but it didn't matter because they both glowed with their own unearthly light. They were masters Yoda and Obi-wan Kenobi. They smiled at him and looked to their left where another figure appeared. He was young, barely in his twenties by the look of him. His light Jedi Robes didn't seem to suit him but he was happy. The spirit of Anakin Skywalker looked on the celebration with happiness in his eyes.

"I am free, Luke. I thank you," his echoing voice said.

Then another figure appeared next to Anakin, a small young woman. Her long dark hair tumbled over her back. She instantly turned to Anakin and threw her arms around him in a swift hug. To Luke she seemed to look a lot like Leia. Then it hit him. She was his mother.

"Thank you, my son, for bringing him back to me," she said, her voice echoing as well.

"You saved the galaxy, Luke. The Order couldn't be more proud," Obi-wan said.

"Brought balance, young Skywalker, like you father before you," Yoda said.

Luke could feel tears coming to his eyes and suddenly he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned and saw Leia. He took one last look at his parents and mentors and went to join his friends and sister in the festivities. The group smiled upon them and slowly they disappeared until only Anakin and Padmé remained.

"Always remember us our children and know that we love you." Padmé said before disappearing.

"Know, my son, that the force will be with you… always." The redeemed Jedi turned and saw the other side, the happiness that was the afterlife. He smiled as Padmé took his hand and pulled him to the others. Anakin Skywalker was finally at peace.
