Prologue
In every girls life she is told that one day Prince Charming will come riding up on a magic horse to save her day. That when all hope is lost, someone will swoop in to save the day. That hope is always present in a girl's day to day life, for she will never lose it as long as Prince Charming lies ready to ascend the steps to victory. For someone will always be ready to climb the tower on her hair, find her to put the glass slipper on her foot, or awaken her with a kiss from the evil godmother.
But what happens when Prince Charming has walked out of the room with no hopes of ever returning, when all hope has truly been lost as he walked out that door. And every time he saved you comes crashing down around you as the realization hits that without him, you would be lost. Yet you can never truly lose Prince Charming if he was never there to begin with. After all, most fairy tales begin with once upon a timeā¦
Once upon a time in a land not so far away there lived a boy and a girl, childhood friends who stood by each other thick and thin. From the day when they met by peeking through a fence curious to the other's playtime. No one could ever believe them to not be together, after all a prince and a princess would have to be each others playmate, for anyone else would be highly inappropriate.
The beginnings of most fairy tales are usually told with such a tragic start, but these two began with anything but. They were blessed children deprived of nothing in their life that they could see. Life was perfect and so was everyone in it, for how else could it be for a pair of young children? Life never loses that air of innocence until we are stabbed in the back by someone we had trusted.
AN: My first story posted, so feel free to say whatever. This is super short, but the story doesn't really start until chapter one which should be up almost immediately after this is posted. I almost just combined this with the first chapter, but I didn't want people reading them to combine the two together.
