Reimu swallowed. Her throat was rather dry at the moment, and she was considering going to get a drink of water instead of remaining in the situation which she currently found herself in. She looked down at her feet, pretending to be incredibly interested in the pattern on her slippers. Then she rubbed the back of her neck, coughed, and looked up into a pair of curious blue eyes.

Her father was an idiot, she decided. She was never going to take advice from a billion year old dragon again, as long as she lived.

Of course, this whole thing had been his idea anyways. Reimu had been just minding her own business at home, doing her duty as a high-school student and actually getting her homework done for once in her life when Daddy Dearest slid a note onto her desk. Reimu had growled a little at the sight of the thing. It was a square of notebook paper, folded up, with "Rei-chan" written on it. Worst of all, her name was encased in a big heart, and the whole thing was written in blue gel pen.

The contents of the note had gone something along the lines of "Why don't you just ask her out?" to which she replied "None of your business, moron" in sensible, black, non-gel pen.

It hadn't been more than a minute before that accursed little piece of paper appeared on her desk again, this time with "She really likes you, you know" written on it. The ink was still blue, but it was a regular blue pen, not a gel pen, and the writing slanted a little more to the left, so she knew that lizard had shown the note to her mother. Shortly thereafter, mommy went off to buy some groceries, and Reimu continued passing the note to her daddy.

"I don't care anyway."

"I know you do."

"Yeah, well maybe you don't know everything you think you know."

"That doesn't make sense, Rei-chan. Just ask her! I'm sure she'll say yes!" (there was another heart following this note)

"Fine, but if she says no, I will laugh at you and say 'I told you so'. Because she will." (she drew a lot of lines over the heart, effectively hiding it.)

"I still think she'll say yes~!" (Reimu swore under her breath. That horned lizard had drawn another heart on it!)

"She's the prettiest girl in the school. Why would she go out with me any –

Reimu had suddenly been cut off of her note-writing when someone tapped her on the shoulder. She looked up angrily, ready to tell the person not to touch her ever again or she'd either tear their arm off of blast them with Danmaku. That is, until she realized it was the person she was currently writing a note about.

So, that was what had gotten her into this… situation. She would admit, she didn't want to be here. She was going to kill that moron for getting her into this situation. And maybe her mommy, too, because if she wasn't out, her mother would have helped him with all this.

"So, Reimu, what is it you wanted to ask me?" she said, twirling a strand of her blonde hair around her finger. She fidgeted, feeling her inner courage leaving her bit by bit.

"I just… wanted to ask… if you would go out with me," she said, spitting out the last phrase so quickly and quietly that she was even surprised she could hear it.

She squealed at an almost-deafening decibel and threw her arms around her neck. "Of course I will! You should have asked me sooner!" she gushed, hugging her even more tightly.

She looked up and saw her parents standing in the doorway in front of them. Her face flushed and she returned her attention to the girl currently hugging her, wrapping her arms around her waist. She decided to ignore them, it seemed to be the best idea at the moment. And she smiled a little, burying her face in her thick hair.

"I love you… Marisa, even if you are dating Sanae, I wouldn't mind a threesome you know."

Maybe she should take Daddy's advice more often.
