House treats Dwayne for an STD. just curing my bordom. dont bag it.

"Frank?" Dwayne was feeling desperate.

"Yea?"

"Can you take me to the doctor?"

"What's the matter?" Frank asked, suddenly concerned.

Dwayne mumbled something.

"What?" He walked over to his nephew.

"I think I have an STD" he repeated looking away.

"Oh," was all Frank could verbalise. He looked stunned. Dwayne was getting it? Wow… Dwayne was getting it! Part of him was proud enough to smile but he knew Dwayne would see it as mocking him so he suppressed the urge.

"I'll get my keys."

The pair sat it the waiting room at PPTH. A very awkward silence hung over them that had lasted the whole car ride. Frank didn't know how to breach the subject and Dwayne was in no way willing to talk about it with his uncle.

"Do you want me to come in with you?" Frank asked. To anyone else this would seem odd but Dwayne still had a hard time speaking to people. He had slipped back into a semi-silence after the California trip, only speaking when he felt he had to and only to Olive and Frank.

Dwayne looked away, contemplating the idea then nodded dejectedly.

"Dwayne Hoover," the nurse announced. When they stood she ushered them into exam room two.

Sitting in the room was a man in jeans and a t-shirt. He was leaning back precariously on a chair with his feet propped up on the bench opposite. When he noticed they had entered he paused his game boy and sat up a little.

"Dr. House. Take a seat," he had been on a winning streak which was now being interrupted.

"What's the problem?" he asked, turning to the pair.

Frank glanced to Dwayne who had become immensely interested in his shoes.

"Dwayne thinks he has an STD." he said.

House looked from Frank to Dwayne and back to Frank questioningly.

"Ohh, I'm his Uncle. He doesn't talk," he tried to explain. "He can talk he just chooses not to. He took a vow of silence, which is now broken but he still doesn't really talk."

House gave the teenager a calculating look. "I need to do an exam. You'll need to wait outside." He got up and put his game boy away.

"I'll be out the door." Frank said. Dwayne didn't look up.

He was still entranced by his shoes.

"You really don't talk?" Dwayne stared at him to prove his point.

"That's just stupid. What is there to gain from not talking?"

Dwayne gave him a glare from under his fringe.

"Fine, lets see."

He stood and unbuttoned his pants and pulled them down to his knees with his boxers. House leaned in a little to get a better look.

"Mild rash, cracked skin, itchy. You got Herpes." He got out a script.

Dwayne looked confused. "How did you know it was itchy?" His voice was rough from lack of use.

House smirked. "Knew that'd get you," he said smugly. "It's on your fingers too." He continued writing.

Dwayne redressed. "You just need an antiviral. Get this filled at the pharmacy." He handed it to Dwayne. "Take two then wait 12 hours and take another two. Tell everyone you've had sex with in the past month. It'll be gone within the week. "

Dwayne nodded and then opened the door. His Uncle was leaning on the opposite wall.

"Ohh, and use a condom next time!" he called out before the door closed.
