"God, Andrew. Don't you ever stop talking?" Warren groans, flinging his arm across his face.

Andrew does stop, stung.

Warren looks at him. "I didn't—" he tightens his lips "—I didn't mean it like that, you know I didn't."

"I know," says Andrew, but he is lying.

Warren knows this. "Andrew..."

"What?" Andrew snaps. He is surprised at how angry he is.

"I'm sorry, alright?" Warren sighs. Andrew stares at him. He's never heard Warren apologize before.

"OK," Andrew says. "I forgive you." He hesitates, then snuggles against Warren's side. To his surprise and delight, Warren does not move away. Andrew can feel his friend's heartbeat pound against his own chest.

"That feels good," he says quietly. "Feeling your heart beat."

Warren doesn't say anything. He just sighs.
