(((AN: Nimen Hao! This oneshot was inspired by a conversation on the train while I was playing Yo-Kai Watch 2: Boney Spirits. Note: Contains hinted NateXKatie. Qing Xiǎngyòng!)))

As the train hurtled down the tracks, Nate breathed a sigh of relief. Turned out Jibanyan's hatred of cars applied to trains too. Nate had to bring in Sgt. Burly to get the Charming Cat on the train in the first place.

As the scenery zoomed past, Whisper was the first one to speak. "Sooo...Nate? Got a crush on anyone these days?"

"What?! N-no..."

"Oh really now?"

"It's none of your business!"

"And for it to be none of my business, there has to be business in the first place."

"Why are you so interested in my Love Life all of a sudden?"

"Well, Nate, there are two things you talk about on trains, Love, and Stock Prices. And you're a bit too young for the latter, so that leaves Love."

"Yeah, Nyate!" Jibanyan perked up. "Spill the beans, Nya!"

Nate groaned. Sometimes he thought his Yo-Kai friends were only there to annoy him. Katie probably doesn't have to worry about Yo-Kai interrupting her life every ten seconds. Katie...

"You're blushing, Nyate."

Nate looked at Jibanyan. "I don't have a crush on anyone, Jibanyan!"

A smile crossed Whisper's face. "Alright, I guess it's AVERAGE to not have a crush."

"You can't score points that way, guys."

Jibanyan realized what Whisper was doing. "Yeah Nyate, I guess your too AVERAGE to have a crush on someone."

"This isn't working, g-guys..."

"We understand. It's only AVERAGE."

"Grr...Fine! I like someone," Nate griped.

"O-oh! And who is it?" Whisper asked excitedly.

"N-not telling..."

"Is it Inyaho?"

"What? No! No way!"

"Maybe Katie, hmm?"

And bam. Whisper had thrown the hammer from a thousand feet away and hit the nail perfectly on the head. So Nate did what any sensible person trying to hide their crush would do.

Blush and Stammer.

"U-um, aah, er, M-ay-ee-bee?"

At least he put together a full word.

"So it is Katie!"

"Have you told her 'bout your feelings yet, Nya?"

"Um...yes!" Nate decided. "When I won the game at that carnival, I told her that I felt happy! So I've told her about my feelings multiple times!"

"You're hopeless, Nyate."

"Um... Ah! Look! We're here!"

"We still have another 10 minutes, Nate."

Nate sighed. This is going to be a long ride...
