"What are you doing here?" Rory asked, opening her bedroom window.

"Coming to see you," Jess whispered from outside.

"Jess, it's late and my mom would go crazy if she knew you were here right now."

"But she doesn't know I'm here right now." Jess pointed out.
"Jess," Rory started.

"Rory, I've been working a lot lately and I miss you."

Rory took one look at the beautiful boy standing before her and couldn't help but smile.

"Just for a minute," Rory agreed opening the window wider.

Jess quietly maneuvered his way through the window, trying not to make much noise.

"Something tells me that, that was not your first time doing that," Rory joked.

"Maybe once or twice," Jess retorted smugly.

"Yeah, I bet."

Jess took Rory by the waist and pulled her into him, giving her a kiss. Rory moved closer and deepened the kiss. Jess got so caught up in the kiss that he lost his footing and bumped into Rory's nightstand.

"Shhh!" Rory laughed.

"I'm sorry," Jess whispered, taking Rory back into his arms and drawing her closer.

"Jess," Rory murmured breaking apart from him, "My mom's right in the living room."

"So."

"So, you're not supposed to be here remember." Rory reminded him.

"You're right. I should go."

"Yes, you really should," Rory said, taking a few steps back so there was distance between them.

"Rory," Lorelai called out before knocking on Rory's door.

"Crap!" Rory screamed in a whisper, turning her head towards the door. "Je-".

When she turned around , he was no where to be seen. He definitely had prior experience in this area.

"Uh—yeah, come in," Rory called out, trying to sound casual but still looking around for any sign of Jess.

Lorelai walked into the room chuckling.

"You would never believe what-, why is your window opened?"

"I just needed the fresh air. What's up?"

"I just wanted to tell you that I was heading up for bed."

"Oh, okay." Rory said with a forced smile.

Lorelai looked at her suspiciously.

"Is everything ok with you?" She asked, moving closer into her room.

"Yeah, I'm fine. You know, I was just about to go to bed myself so, goodnight."

"Goodnight." Lorelai said staring at Rory, not moving an inch from where she stood.

Rory walked over to her bed and pulled back the covers, pretending to climb into bed.

"Hey Rory," Lorelai spoke up.

"Yeah," Rory answered casually.

"Whose jacket is that?" Lorelai asked pointing to her chair.

"Oh, that's Jess'. He let me borrow it."

"When?" Lorelai prodded.

"A few days ago," Rory lied.

"Huh."

"What?"

"Nothing, it's just I've never seen you wear it before."

"Well, that's because I haven't yet."

Lorelai gave Rory a significant look and backed off. Rory knew that she knew. Lorelai knew that Rory knew.

"Goodnight hon."

"Night."

When the coast was clear, Rory hurriedly jumped out of her bed and headed towards her closet.

"Jess," Rory called out in a whisper.

"You really need to invest in some kind of lock for that door," Jess joked, coming from the closet.

"Okay, get out now," Rory sharply demanded making her way over to where he was and pulling him in the direction towards the open window. "I don't want her to come back in here and see you."

"Fine," He smiled as Rory let him go, allowing him to walk the rest of the way.

Once he was out he turned around, grinned, and looked at Rory with utter satisfaction.

Rory couldn't help but give in to his endearing little grin.

"You are trouble." She smiled.
