"Kuwaa~n... aanaan iya aaaaan... ufuu~n...,"The faint chime of a bell rang in the distance, its toll signaling the end to the school day. As soon as they heard it, the NPC's filed out, heading back to their dorms or to the cafeteria where they would crowd round in their usual groups to hear the latest news. The teachers, taking a little longer, headed out themselves, just as tired from the day's events as their students were. Soon enough the school was empty save for the few janitors that were tasked with the impossible job of cleaning the campus.
The setting sun filled the school with an iridescent glow, basking everything with a golden light. In the nurse's office, a breeze blew in from an open window, rustling the curtains and gently caressing the face of a sleeping student who had been lying on one of the beds. It had not been enough to wake him up but he had stirred anyway. In a few seconds he was awake enough to sit up, and slowly rub his eyes to clear the blurry world before him.
A lone figure watched all this from the doorway. He had gazed on in silence as the student awoke and now as that student rubbed his eyes, the figure mumbled under his breath
"So it's begun"
