They've finally paid off their small suburban house, and for the first time, the two have something that they truly own.

To celebrate the occasion, they've bought a three boxes of their favorite cheez-it flavor, Parmesan, eaten it, and most importantly made a small adjustment to the family.

The two are sitting with their legs crossed on their mattress, staring at the small cherub that is lying between them. Her tiny tongue is peeking from between her lips like she's concentrating very hard on falling asleep, and her eyes are scrunched tight into slits like she's determined to stay in slumber. Only minutes before, she had been turning like a twister and crying out like a banshee.

Now that she was fed and appeased, she was much easier to take care of.

Annie sighed quietly and cupped her cheeks with her palms. "She's perfect."

"Yeah, she warmed right up to you! She was jumping all over you at the shelter." Finnick grinned.

"Guess she tired herself out!" Annie said with a laugh.

Annie put her hands on the top of the crib wall and rested her head on top. "Did you tire yourself out? Who tired herself out? Not this Sandy," Annie cooed.

She reached over and rubbed her new baby's soft belly affectionately.
