They should write a boyfriend handbook or something. Or maybe the DO'S and DON'TS of a relationship. It would make this whole moving in together thing seem less stressful. You see, it all started a few weeks ago when Dimitri arrived back at my apartment after having to put up with Sparky all day…
"Hey Rose," I heard a familiar Russian accent call from the front door. I was curled up on the couch with a bowl of mint ice cream. I sent glares at Dimitri when I noticed him eyeing off MY ice cream and he just chuckled thinking I was joking or something.
He lent down brushing his lips against my own in a short but sweet kiss and sat down in front of me, pulling my legs onto his lap.
"You know, I was thinking today…" he trailed off looking nervous. "Hmm… what about?" I urged him on.
"Roza, we should move in together." To be honest, I was a little worried about when he would say this because even though I loved him more than life itself that was a BIG commitment. "I was wondering when you would find your big boy pants and say that."
That's how I got myself in this position, kneeling on the floor of Dimitri's bathroom, trying to find room in his drawers for my toothbrush, hairbrush, makeup, hair products, deodorants and perfumes and some other necessities. If this was only the bathroom, supposedly the smallest obstacle, imagine what the closet will be like. Please God, help me now.
