Ducky

Warning: Just like the last one-shot I posted, Fears, this is not in any way a part of the other Kaylee stories. I was just bored. Anyways, read and review!!

Kaylee/Dustin

Dustin smiled as he watched Kaylee stand in the water, holding her duck floaty. She had just gotten back from prom and for some strange reason, was excited to finally be home.

"Dustin! Ducky thinks the water is fine, you should come in!" Kaylee yelled from the water.

"Ducky's also used to swimming in freezing cold water!" Dustin yelled back, laughing when a wave took Ducky away from Kaylee and the blonde jumped in the water to save it.

"Your loss, that just means more time with Ducky!" Kaylee smiled, grabbing the duck. Dustin sighed when he saw her having a blast in the water with a floaty. Wasn't that his job? Maybe the guys were right when they said he had competition with the duck. He felt a wave of jealousy go by when he saw Kaylee hold the duck in her arms after nearly loosing it for a second time.

This is stupid, why should I be jealous of a chunk of plastic? The former yellow Ranger asked himself. He knew he was more important to Kaylee than Ducky, but sometimes it felt... weird.

A strong wind blew, picking Ducky up from the water and out of Kaylee's reach. The inflatable toy floated to shore.

"DUCKY!" Kaylee yelled, watching her most precious possession run away from her. Dustin saw the duck coming near him and grabbed onto its ring just as it passed over his head. "You saved Ducky!" Kaylee smiled, jumping into Dustin's arms.

"I think that deserves a little something special," Dustin smirked, leaning in to kiss Kaylee. When they broke apart, Kaylee smiled as she bit her bottom lip. Then she realised Ducky was watching.

"Not right now Ducky, Dustin's turn," she said, getting her towel and putting it over the duck's eye so she could kiss Dustin again.

Dustin smiled when he realised that Ducky wasn't his biggest competition for Kaylee's love, he was the duck's competition. And that duck had better watch out, because Dustin wasn't going to give Kaylee up so easily.
