Ezra walked in the church. He only came because Aria asked him to. He started walking towards a smiling Aria, then Ella and Byron stepped in front of him.

"Ezra, what are you doing here?" Ella asked

"I just thought I'd come for support."

They nodded, believing Ezra's lie and invited him to sit with them. Ezra looked at Aria as her face fell and he gave her a look that said, I'm sorry. He sat down in the aisle seat with Byron to his right. A few minutes later he saw Aria walk up to them.

"Mr. Fitz, can you please sit with me? I don't really want to sit alone."

"Yeah, sure." He responded with a slight smile.

They walked three rows up and sat down.

"You're a very sneaky girl."

"I try." She giggled

He grabbed her hand and she looked at him slightly shocked.

"Pretty ballsy move, Mr. Fitz."

"I try." They both giggled.

"I want to hug and kiss you so bad right now, Ezra."

"Well. I don't know about the kiss but if you fake a little cry, I can give you a comforting hug."

"Now who's the sneaky one?" She teased.

With that, Aria started crying. Ezra gave her a concerned look just in case her parents were looking, and hugged her.

"I love this." Aria admitted

"I love you." He admitted back

"Sap." She teased as they chuckled in satisfaction.

While they were outside during the burial, Ella started talking to Ezra.

"So, Ezra, what was wrong with Aria in there?"

"Umm, I guess the whole situation caught up with her."

Yeah, I was wondering when that would happen"

"What do you mean?"

"She is a very strong person. Throughout Alison's death and the thing between Byron and I, I thought she'd be a wreck, but I've barely seen her shed a tear. Besides today and when Ali first went missing, the only time I saw her cry was months ago. I think it was the week of the SAT's."

Then Ezra realized, that was the week he left. One of the only times she cried through the whole ordeal, was for him. That only made him love her more. Ella interrupted his thoughts.

"I'm so glad you were there to comfort her. She's very comfortable around you. I have a feeling if it was me or Byron, she would've kept it in."

"Anytime." He smiled.

Once it was over, Ezra saw Aria just standing away from everyone, so he approached her.

"Hey" he said softly. "You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine"

"Aria. I know you, you're not fine."

She turned to face him and smiled

"It's just this whole thing. Everything that's happened since she went missing."

"It's always hard to deal with a loss."

"It's not just that. But I can't talk about it now."

"How about you come over later and you could tell me."

"You really want to know?"

He wiped a tear that started to roll down her cheek.

"I hate seeing you upset. Whatever it is, I don't care. I want to try and fix it."

This made her smile, which in turn, made him smile.

Ella watched their conversation as she waited for her husband to finish talking to Rev. Ackard. She watched Ezra wipe a tear from Aria's face. As they looked at each other smiling, she couldn't help but feel as if there was some kind of deeper connection. But she shrugged it off as Byron motioned for them to go.
