Warm Summer Rain
The day was warm and sunny and completely perfect. Lily was staying at the Potter's for the summer. During the autumn of the previous year, Lily's parents had been killed.
Lily, naturally had become depressed, unsociable and overwhelmed with grief. Throughout the course of the school term, however, she began to cope with her loss with the help of her friends. ( btw Petunia is living with Vernon.)
Lily awoke James brightly that morning with a,
"C'mon lazy bones! Get outta bed! It's a beautiful morning."
How could James ignore that sweet cheerful voice? He rolled over, face to face with the love of his life.
"Not as beautiful as you though."
Lily blushed violently and bent over to kiss him on the lips.
"What a great way to wake up every morning!" James said.
"Well your mum has breakfast on the table waiting for you so, as soon as you get your arse out of bed, the sooner we can greet the day." Lily answered back smiling.
Breakfast was over and James took Lily's hand and led her outside. She was wearing a minty, sea foam green spaghetti strap top and blue jeans. She was barefoot. James had dressed hastily that morning, so his attire consisted of a white muscle shirt and blue jean shorts.
The sun was bright but pleasing, and the clouds were heavily patterned against the azul blue sky. They were big white fluffy ones, quite like marshmallows, and some were leaden with gray bottoms. There was a cool breeze wrapping itself around them, ruffling James hair and making Lily's vibrant wavy crimson tresses dance around her.
They walked hand in hand over the vast expanse of land the Potter mansion was located on. James was thinking incredulously over how Lily and he were together. Lily was doing the same thing, thankful that she had followed her heart.
"It's going to rain." Lily stated matter-of-factly.
"How do you know these things?"
James' amazed tone made Lily giggle and reply with,
"I just feel it."
Moments later the warm summer rain came pouring down on the two of them. James watched Lily play in the rain like a small child at Christmas would play with their new toys. She received the same delight from it. The rain revitalized her, and refreshed her. It helped wash away anything awful that might have been, and made her heart soar when things were going great already.
James came up behind her and spun her around. He lifted her up in his arms and kept spinning. She was light as a feather. James soon stopped and looked her in the eyes and encouraged Lily into a passionate kiss. James gently set Lily down on her feet as the clouds continued to drench them in its'sudden torrential rain.
The clouds parted and revealed a radiantly warm sun. Lily turned around towards the west side of the Potter property and saw a glittering rainbow. She and James were very wet. He guided her down on the sodden lawn.
"I love you." They said at the exact same time and then laughed. They knew that they were meant for each other.
A/N: Sorry that was kind of a horrible ending. If ANYONE out there has a better idea I'll replace it with that. (that is over course with your permission.Sorry it was kind of short as well.Review! Let me know if you like it. toodles xoxo!
