*Takes place when he was Lucrecia's bodyguard*
"Vincent! Good morning!"
"Oh um…good morning, Lucrecia. You seem…cheerful..." the Turk was lightly blushing.
"Well, Christmas is in a week! Why wouldn't I be cheerful? I can't wait to give you my present!" her smile was almost ear-to-ear.
"You actually got me something?" he acted confused, but he was secretly very happy.
"Of course I would! Why wouldn't I?" she said as she walked back to the lab. "Well, I have research to do!"
"I better get her something…but what?"
"Um…what would she like?" Vincent was standing in a jewelry store, and it was one of the most expensive ones around!
"Good day, sir. Do you know what piece you'd like to buy?" a friendly brunette behind the counter asked.
"Not yet..." he said quietly. He was looking in the case in front of him. So many nice things, but what would she like?
"If you like, I could help. I know a lot of the people around here. Who's the lucky woman you're shopping for?" the brunette smiled. The bell on her thick choker-necklace jingled as she spoke. *This girl is based on me, I only changed the name!*
"Oh! Me and her…we're not…" Vincent was bright red.
"Fine, who's the friend you're shopping for?" the girl rolled her eyes and grinned. Her ponytail swung as she giggled. This guy's hot! She thought.
"I'm looking for something to get Lucrecia. You probably don't know her—"
"Lucrecia! She's my neighbor!" the girl said before he could finish.
"Oh? Well, she got me something for Christmas, and I'd like to return the favor."
"Well, make sure to tell her Shira says 'hi'! You must be Vincent Valentine, she talks about you all the time!" Shira said.
"She—she does?" Vincent was blushing and baffled. She actually talks about me!
"Yeah! I'm sure she's like anything you got her, it's the thought that counts! She told me she got you something, but she didn't know if you'd like it, but she hoped you would and couldn't wait to find out!" Shira was practically rambling.
I'd like anything Lucrecia would get me… Vincent studied the beautiful jewelry before him, when something caught his eye. "I'll buy that!"
"Oh? Aren't we the thoughtful shopper? That ain't cheap! But I'm sure she'll love it!" Shira said as she pulled the piece out of the case and put it in a box. "Would you like it wrapped?"
"No, I'll save you the trouble, I'm good at wrapping things."
"Have a nice day! That'll be $700!" Shira held out her hand.
"You take debit?"
*Christmas day*
"Vincent! Merry Christmas!" Lucrecia was overflowing with joy.
"Merry Christmas, Lucrecia!" Vincent was happy as well.
"Here!" she handed him a small box. Inside was an expensive, fancy watch.
"I love it! I got you something, too…" he pulled out a box wrapped with shiny, dark blue wrapping paper and a silver bow. Inside, was a beautiful moonstone bracelet. (Yes, that's a real stone, I have a moonstone pendant, it's white but it shines blue, it's really pretty.) The bracelet had exactly 13 moonstones in it, the chain of it was silver, with a diamond between each moonstone.
"Oh, Vincent! It's so beautiful, I love it!" she immediately put it on. Her sleeve covered it. Vincent was wearing his watch, too.
"By the way. Shira says 'hi'," Vincent said, when he suddenly gasped.
Lucrecia was hugging him. "Best Christmas ever."
