Azarii-nee was strong.
She was powerful, she was kind and most all she was like a big sister to everyone in the guild.
So why,
Tell Lisanna why she was bleeding and broken and almost dead and oh, no nobody should still be alive with those injuries. So why was Mira crying, why was her big brother not there? So why? Tell her why. Tell her.

"We'll be back soon, Natsu. You know we will be. So don't worry, cuz Mira and I are gonna kick ass!" Azarii waved to the boy as she departed from the guild. Team Mira was gonna go kick this beasts ass, yeah!
"But Azarii! You know I can help so just take me!" Natsu shouted at the group.
"No." Azarii was firm. She could feel her eyebrow tick. This kid was fucking annoying! How the fuck anybody put up with him was a wonder.

Azarii panted as she could feel her reserves dip low. Mira was down for the count with a shattered arm, Lisanna was bruised and bloody, and Elfman was a fucking monster! Azarii's body was bruised heavily, gashes and cuts decorating her tanned and muscular forearms.
She grunted as The Beast flung her back, and her back slammed against a tree. Azarii could see Lisanna stand up and mouthing words, but she was too far to hear it and all she could see was The Beast preparing to strike. She ran forward, her body sluggish, but she lit her fist with lightning and dashed forward and just as he swung she sped forward, her left arm covered in lightning and she met his arm, "Run! Run, now, or you'll die!" She could feel the pressure and soon she would be swiped forward through the air. Her magic sparked and her reserves were running out, but she so desperately wanted to save her friends.
And she felt her hand sever.
The pain didn't come as Azarii gazed in disbelief at her bloody hand on the ground, bewilderment clear on her face. Blood was practically flowing like a river from her arm.
And then she was airborne. She could hear Lisanna scream her name, and Mira was sobbing as they watched her be flung through the air.

"Azarii.." Mira spoke quietly, her voice shaking as she kneeled next to the bluenette.
"Mira, what's going on? I can't feel my hand, Mira.." Azarii spoke, her voice weak.
"Don't worry, it's gonna be okay, Azarii." Mira's voice wavered, her face stained with tears.
"Don't lie, Mira. I'm dying, aren't I?" Azarii choked out.
Mira's only reply with a sob as she screamed to the sky, her voice cracking.
"Mira." Azarii sobbed, "Look at me."
"Promise me something, Mira. Promise me you'll protect Lisanna and Elfman. Promise me you'll become stronger."
"Okay, I promise, just don't go, I love you Azarii! I love you so much it hurts!" Mira screamed, her tears streaming down her face.
"I love you, Mira."
"Come here." Azarii beckoned with her one hand.
Once Mira scooted close enough, Azarii leaned up and kissed her. Her body faded into gold, and she was gone.
