Just wanna get something out there:
I'm not gonna ship Siobhan and Alex. This is a friendship story. Idk, they just don't seem that cute together. But I can't forget how upset Siobhan was after he left. I feel so bad for her.
Anyways, this came to me in a dream the other night. Hope it's okay.
Here Without You
Siobhan couldn't sleep. It was 2:30 am. She knew she had to perform the next day. She knew she shouldn't be up. But she was distraught. Over the fact that her best friend had been ripped away from her. And there was nothing she could do about it.
She got up and went over to the mirror. I'm a mess, she noted to herself, staring gloomily at her reflection. Her hair was all messed up, and she looked so tired and worn out. But as tired as she was, sleeping wasn't an option. Everytime she closed her eyes, he was there.
A hundred days have made me older, since the last time that I saw your face....
There was no one to talk to anymore. As much as she hated to admit it, Siobhan knew she had no more friends in the house. All of them had been elminated. There was nothing to do but keep her sadness bottled up more and more until it overwhelmed her.
"You sound tired, sweetie," her mother said from the other end of the phone line. Her tone was concerned.
"I'm fine, Mom," Siobhan answered automatically.
Her mom was quiet for a second. "You miss Alex, don't you?"
Siobhan grew more and more exasperated with every questioning. "No Mom, I don't. I'm 20 years old. You don't have to treat me like I'm a 12 year old who's best friend moved away. I can handle it."
A thousand lies have made me colder, and I don't think I can look at this the same...
Although she didn't know how, Siobhan eventually fell asleep. And sure enough, he appeared. All her worries and stresses vanished.
But all the miles that separate, disappear now when I'm dreaming of your face...
"Alex?" she asked.
He smiled. "Hey."
Siobhan broke into a run and engulfed her friend in a hug. "Oh Alex, you have to help me. I have no friends left here, and I miss you so much. What am I going to do?"
Alex looked her in the eye. "You'll be fine," he assured her. "You have an AMAZING voice, Siobhan. Even if no one in the house is a friend, the world loves you. And you're not going anywhere, because you're going to win this thing. I garuntee it."
"Do you really think so?" she asked him hopefully.
"Of course. Remember what I said the night I left?" he reminded her.
Siobhan thought for a second. "No..."
"You remember." Alex tilted her chin up so they were looking in the eye again. "Out of everyone here, you deserve to be here the most."
All too soon, Alex started to fade away. Siobhan gasped. "Alex, no! Don't leave me!"
"It's okay, Siobhan. I'll always be with you. In your dreams." With a final wave, Alex disappeared.
I'm here without you baby, but you're still on my lonely mind, I think about you baby, and I dream about you all the time. I'm here without you baby, but you're still with me in my dreams, and tonight, it's only you and me.....
