James sighed as he walked in the empty corridors of Hogwarts. As he reached a bag end, muffled moans became hearable. He glanced on the right, and spotted a closet. He rolled his eyes and knocked.
"I know you're busy in there Padfoot but I need to talk."
He heard a low, protesting groan.
"Are you sure it can't wait?" Sirius' tight voice came from behind the door.
"Well it could, but the longer we take the more they shag." James said off-handedly.
The door unlocked at once and Sirius burst out all sweaty and breathless, without even taking the time to zip up his pants.
"What do you mean?" he asked suspiciously.
James sighed, running a hand through his hair.
"Remember the… situation at breakfast?"
"Yeah what about it?" Sirius asked coldly.
"Well- would you get your fan club to leave?" James huffed.
Sirius turned to face the very pretty 7th year blondie who was standing behind him, eyeing him as though she was very hungry.
"I'll see you later, love."
He snogged her straight on the lips and let go of her, turning to face James. She giggled and left, looking a bit dizzy.
"You really need to sort out your priorities, Pads." James said as he watched the girl leave.
Sirius shrugged as he fixed his hair.
"I have to get off one way or another."
"Anyway." James said pointedly. He ran a hand through his hair and sat against the wall. "Shagging might have been a bit far but there's something going on. Never mind him going to her all the time but I caught them holding hands twice and kissing her hand and calling her m'lady…"
Sirius' jaw clenched as he sat down next to James.
"Well, I guess the worst we expected has happened, then." He scowled. "How could they…" he snapped.
"Do you know what makes me really angry? Remus. The stupid asshole. Because for one thing he definitely knew how I felt about Evans, and he still does this." James spat bitterly.
"I can't believe it. It's just impossible. We must've missed something." Sirius shook his head.
James shrugged.
"Why does it matter anyway? I just hope they're very happy together." He said, but his tone suggested otherwise.
"Yeah… you're absolutely right. I don't care. Nope, I most certainly don't." Sirius looked away, feeling a strange tingle in his heart.
"Yeah! No, we don't care…" James looked at the ground in silence for a minute. "And I think it's about time they know that!" He looked back at Sirius. "Let's go back to the common room with big smiled on our faces, laughing and act like we couldn't care less. And we'll tell them that the reason why I was angry was because you stole the Team Potter birds."
"Yeah!" Sirius jumped on his feet and was already on his way to the common room when he froze. "Wait…" he spun around to face James. "What? Stole the Team Potter birds?"
James laughed and stood up.
"Well it's something you'd do!"
"I would never need to steal them, they'd convert themselves to Team Black on their own thank you very much." He scoffed.
"They would not!" James protested as they walked down the corridor. "We had a very good time tonight I'll have you know."
"So did I, as you can see." Sirius smirked as he slowly zipped up his pants. "Maybe our friends will be happy to hear me giving you all the details…"
"See that is why I like you." James grinned. "Put up a shield, though. I wouldn't be surprised if they attacked again."
"And don't look into Evans' eyes. Whatever you do, don't." Sirius whispered exaggeratedly.
"Why?"
"Damn it Prongs, if you get an eyegasm it'll ruin everything."
"Moron…" He muttered, and Sirius laughed.
