Chapter 1: Welcome to Third Year

I sighed shifting uncomfortably in my seat. My eyes kept shifting towards my father who was next to me on the train. He put a hand on my leg and smiled reassuringly. I kept my head low and waited for the other students to get on.

"It's going to okay, Cassadee," I shook my head.

"A-Are you sure that Dumbledore said it's okay to have a werewolf as a student?" I stuttered. Remus sighed.

"I don't why you only started changing this summer. If he wants me to be a teacher than, yes." he muttered and swept my bangs from my face.

I gave a cold laugh, "I guess I'm a freak of nature even as a werewolf. I mean I can also turn on will,"

Remus quietly faked sleep as we heard students getting on. I inwardly felt panic rise in my chest. Why am I always like this around people. I heard the door slide open. Harry stood there with an apologetic smile on his face.

"Is it okay if we sit here?" I nodded really fast, blushing.

It's not that I like him or anything, but I was happy he asked. Unlike Slytherins. He sat down with Hermione and Ron. Hermione smiled at me while Ron glared at me. Why did he not like me?

"H-Hello Harry, H-Hermione, R-R-Ron," I gave a small smile.

Draco POV

I growled, trying to shake Pansy off my arm. As we walked I saw Potter walk in a compartment. I stopped, curious to hear what they're talking about. Pansy stopped babbling long enough to look at me.

"I'll be there later," she nodded and scurried off.

I saw that Potter, Granger, and Weasel were with Lupin and someone else. I watched as Lupin flinched at something. Then Harry started talking for awhile as I examined her. Her velvet red hair grew to her waist and her emerald eyes had silver flecks in them. She had double D's and a nice figure. She had a concerned look on her sweet face. She was probably the most beautiful pureblood I have ever seen. Too bad she was in Gryffindor.

Her face suddenly exploded into a blush. Lupin was stuttering over words. I shrugged and walked to the Slytherin compartments.

Cassadee POV

I felt cold. I shivered as the train screeched to a stop. Ice started to crawl over the window. My eyes widened as I smelt something that wasn't human. Mentally reciting every creature I zeroed in on a dementor.(spelling?) I reacted, not giving Remus a chance.

"Expecto Pratronum!" I watched as the bright light emitted from my wand chased away the dementor.

I panted loudly as I turned to check on Harry.

Draco POV

My eyes widened as a saw Cassadee. Who know the innocent Gryffindor could do that?

Cassadee POV

Father finally stopped acting and explained what happened as he gave everyone chocolate. Harry woke up before Remus left. I stayed silent the rest of the train ride.

I got into carriage with them. So Sirius Black was after Harry? From what Father told me, he was always nice. I continued thinking the whole carriage ride. I stumbled off and waved at Neville. I sat in between Neville and Hermione at the Great Hall. I listened to the sorting and Dumbledore's speech with protest building on my lips. Why would he allow dementors on the grounds?

" Potter is it true you fainted? You actually fainted?" Malfoy laughed.

"Leave him alone, Malfoy." I glared at him before blushing as I realized every Gryffindor and Slytherin was staring at me.
