Heya everyone, this is my first story so hope it's ok. Enjoy
This was set when Hodgins and Brennen are still trapped in the car in 'Gravedigger' I've totally changed the ending so sorry if their all out of character and sorry if my spelling/and grammar is no good that's always my downfall.
"What was that?" asked Hodgins curiously as a rustling sound continued above them.
"I don't know but it's getting closer!" replied Brennen slightly worried "Maybe they paid the ransom"
"Maybe..." sounding unconvinced
10min later they had been completely dug up but no-one was in sight.
"This can't be good..." Hodgins started to say but was interrupted by someone very quickly opening the car door. Before ether of them knew what was happening, the assailant grabbed Brennen and stunned her.
"Brennen!" Hodgins yelled trying to reach for her but was dragged out of the car. He tried to fight against his captor but was struck over the head with what felt like a metal bar and knocked unconscious.
Hodgins POV
He woke 15min later and found himself being dragged across the cold hard earth. 'What happened' he thought to himself as memories of the past half an hour came flooding back. "Brennen!" he called unable to stop himself. At his sudden outburst his attacker turned round surprised to see him already on his feet.
Hodgins saw his arm make a move to grab the stun gun and acted automatically tackling him to the struggle continued for about 10 minutes and Hodgins appeared to be winning when something in the distance caught his attention. That split second of confusion was all he needed and was able to grab his stun gun and before Hodgins could turn around he lay motionless on the floor.
Brennen's POV
She began to wake up slightly dazed and confused and looked around expectantly for Hodgins, when he was nowhere in sight she knew she had to get out so she continued setting up the explosive they had planned, knowing the sooner she was out the sooner she could find him.
20 min later and she were in the back of the car trying to draw enough courage to set it off. She knew she probably had enough air for several more hours but knew the sooner she got out the better.
'Just set it off, it will all be ok!' she kept telling herself. As soon as she did she hurled herself forward trying to reach the surface. It felt like eternity and when she was ready to admit defeat she felt the first rays of light touch her skin and two strong hands grab hold of her and pulled her out "Booth" she mumbled needing to tell him.
"It's alright I'm going to go get him" he replied
A minute later Brennen had found enough strength to go over to the small group and tell them the terrific news.
"We can't find him, why can't we find him?" she asked, looking like her heart was breaking.
"He isn't there!" Brennen said simply "He came back the gravedigger came back and he took him, he took Hodgins!" seconds away from tears.
She stared round at the group all looking terrified and devastated.
Booth went over to her and gave her a hug.
"It's gonna be ok, were gonna find him and get him back on the 'squint squad'" he said reassuringly
"Were is he Booth" she mumbled between sobs.
