Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters depicted in "Smallville". Only the words I use are my own. Well, as much as you can own words I suppose.

All I Am

--

I never was a hero,

There are better men for that.

All I am is what I have become:

A devil decked in angel's robes.

--

I loved and was betrayed,

Three times to be exact.

All I am is what I have become:

A pawn in others' games.

--

I died and was reborn,

Too many times to count.

All I am is what I have become:

A phoenix from Hell's fire.

--

I never was a villain,

But all things pass and change.

All I am is what I have become:

The copy of my father.

A/N: No points for guessing who this is about. I was attempting free verse, but kind of ended up with a pattern again. Color me OCD as Chloe would say, although my friend would probably say CDO. It's the same as OCD but in the right order. Anyway, this was inspired by season 3, episode 2, "Phoenix", and my general knowledge of Lex Luthor from my comic obsessed sister. I hope it explains why he is what he is. As they say in the show, evil isn't a light, you can't just turn it off and on.
