I Do

The big day's here,

And you're afraid,

You're running late,

You've bills unpaid.

Supervillains, a day's work,

And petty thugs are child's play.

But all of these now seem a breeze,

Now that you're here, on marriage day.

Now in the lobby, here at last,

Your best friend's here, you gladly see.

At his urging, off your mask,

Marriage is based on honesty.

Up the aisle, quietly walk,

See at last your future bride.

Let words by mumbled, as those present,

See your bond be sanctified.

And as you stand there, here and now,

You're now resolved to see this through.

So when asked life's most important question,

You simply utter, "yes, I do."
