Love of a lifetime
======================
It was early one spring in a field of flowers
Two people sat and talked for hours
The sun was a glow and the breeze was light
As the two starred into each others eyes till the day became night
She rested her head on his cozy warm shoulder
As the north wind started blowing and the air became colder
They starred at the stars in the sky that night
Feeling closer to heaven for it felt just right
He reached to his pocket where a small box had been
And he placed it in her hand, said he'd had it since he was 10
She looked in amazement and couldn't believe
He had saved something so long, what could it be...
She opened this box and a tear came to her eye
As she took a deep breathe and said with a sigh
"I remember back when you were just a boy
And this lil plastic ring was no more than a toy
You said to me then, someday it would be real
And you will know just how much love I feel..."
As she took the ring out of the lil white box
Below the soft padding were 10 glistening rocks
As she looked at him with a smile of dismay
He said to her, "this would be the day...
I have saved enough money to buy one a year
And hoped that you would still love me, my dear
I will place these diamonds upon a bed of gold
And cherish your love till we both grow old
Will you marry me Hikari, and make my dream come true?"
She looked in his eye and said, "Yes Takeru, I will.... Marry you."

We all want to fall in love. Why? Because that experience makes us feel completely alive. Where every sense is heightened, every emotion is magnified, our everyday reality is shattered and we are flying into the heavens. It may only last a moment, an hour, an afternoon. But that doesn't diminish its value because we are left with memories that we treasure for the rest of our lives...
Love is blind, but friendship closes its eyes...
We don't marry someone we can live with - we marry the person who we cannot live without...

Author's Notes:
I was disappointed on what happened to my first story I just released. I was upset because only two people reviewed it (thanks kamekameha and blah)... I worked quite hard on it. I managed to think those (for me) tear jerking lines and only few read it. The small number of words of my story may not be appealing to the eyes of the reader. But those small numbers of words resemble a great meaning everyone would (or could) enjoy. My first story is entitled "It can't rain all the time". If you liked this one, you would surely appreciate my first story more.
This my last try to test if short stories like this would be satisfying to other people...so please review so that I could know what you think of this story... If this story doesn't work out I would release my long stories, even though it's not very good as to my first story.
Well until my next very very very very short story, bye bye! Sayonara!
