A/N: So I decided to do the 100 Themes Challenge (you can find it on deviantArt, it's the one by ~Akikorossella). I know it would take me at least 10 years to actually complete, but since I don't have a lot of experience in writing fanfics I thought some prompts would help :)
Not doing it in order...
Hope you like :)
Disclaimer: I don't own Sakura, or Naruto for that matter!

Sakura woke up to the incessant ringing of her alarm clock. Groaning, she slammed it off before her parents could wake up and ask her what on earth was going on.

Sakura wasn't a morning person, but today was different. It was her first day of training with her new team, and Kakashi-sensei had told them all to wake up early. As in, before the sun even came up, since they would start at the crack of dawn. And as much as Sakura hated this arrangement, she didn't want to disappoint her sensei and Sasuke-kun.

Sakura grumbled as she threw back the covers and went over to the window, pulling the curtains open. Light pierced her eyes and she squinted, bringing a hand up to shield her face from the glare. Slowly, she adjusted to the brightness, and was treated to quite a beautiful sight.

The sun was rising, throwing golden rays of light over the sleeping village of Konoha. Large pink clouds with dark blue shadows were smudged over a violet sky, as if they were merely dabs of paint on a wide, open canvas. They faded into orange wisps on the horizon, disappearing in the sun's glow.

Sakura smiled. Perhaps waking up so early wasn't so bad, if the morning looked this beautiful every day...

Suddenly she jerked out of her dreamlike state, her eyes widening in realisation and horror.

She was late!
