Chapter One: Solo
To say that Jane Hayward never got nervous was not out of the question. The only time she got nervous was when she had to perform in front of a big crowd. Jane looked from the curtains seeing the auditorium full of people she didn't even know. She took a deep breath pacing back and forth, while the other members of the glee club were doing their pep talks as she could hear them from across the room she was the only one who just needed to be alone for a bit.
Blaine watched from the corner of his eye as he saw Jane pace around the room, muttering under her breath. He didn't know Jane that well, but he knew that she got nervous very easily. It took her a lot of courage from Rachel to sing in front of the Warblers back at the beginning of the year, Blaine wanted to get to know the new students they were different than the ones he was around with the year before. Blaine patted Skylar's arm before he walked over to Jane almost startling her, he watched as she regained her posture.
"Jane?" He gave her an encouraging smile, hoping that he wasn't going to scare her off.
Jane took a deep breath as she watched as Mr. Anderson walked over to her, she straightened out her blazer and her skirt a little bit.
"Mr. Anderson.. I just needed to.." Jane was cut off by Blaine who held his hand up.
"I know..it's pre show choir nerves, I used to get them all the time." He stood in front of her giving her a warm smile. " You know, you're going to kill that solo. And I think that I'm not the only one who thinks so.." Blaine smiled at Jane he took her arms and unfolded them.
"You just have to relax, sometimes if you over think about something too much your brain will start melting away. Just..think about something or someone that puts your mind to ease." One Blaine had said that Jane looked over to the group seeing Mason talking to Spencer, she couldn't quite make out what they were saying but when Mason looked over to her at the corner of his eyes she knew that with Mason it felt like everything was easier, she took a slow breath before looking back at Blaine.
" Thank you..It..really helped a lot." She smiled at Mr. Anderson. "Please call me Blaine..i'm not that old to be called Mr. Anderson." Blaine smiled as he lead her back to the group as they gave one finale pep talk.
