As he held his legacy in his hands, he wants to cry. He knows that no matter how much he wants his son to be treated like a hero, he won't be. The wounds are too deep, the villagers will hate him, and he wishes it wasn't so. But there is no other option, the village won't hold for another day, and his son is the only child that had been born.
He can only hope that others will comfort his son, and he can only hope that Kakashi will take care of him.

It is twelve years since the birth of his son and the attack of the fox. His son is holding on, Kakashi has watched him well. It is the second Sunday of June and he gives his son a message.
'I love you, son. You've made me proud.'
