Summary: Loki and Lucy are having a little argument about if Loki should always be there to protect her, to save her during battles. A short ficlet. Feedback's appreciated, as always, thank you!

Disclaimer: I don't own Fairy Tail, nor the characters, only the great author does! I hope you enjoy!

Loki was just returning to the Spirit World, after helping Lucy defeat someone on a S-ranked mission. It was lucky he was there, otherwise she would have been dead. He, her strongest Spirit, battled the enemy for her, and defeated him as well. Everyone else, Natsu, Gray were all fighting more skillful opponents than them, but the fire and ice mages somehow managed to beat their foes.

Loki was just thinking, after he rested a while, about what would have happened if he wasn't there at the battle. It was lucky he was there to protect her, as always. Lucy was a bit stubborn and headstrong, and often hesitated to summon her strongest Spirit to help her. But Loki swore to protect her, and to be there for her, always. She saved his life once, so his life belonged to her now.

A few weeks after she completed her S-ranked mission, she went on another one. This time, she was with Gray, Natsu, Lisanna and the rest. She and Lisanna both were about to be beaten by their adversaries. Without thinking, Natsu chose to go save Lisanna. Gray was still fighting his own adversary.

"That bastard", thought Loki inwardly. He crossed over to his Mistress's world just in time to save her from being losing to her opponent. Rather than thanking him though, she scolded him for saving her life:

"Loki, I don't want you to always come and save me, I'm a big girl, I can protect myself and fight my own battles."

"Look, Mistress, whoever you were fighting would have killed you if I weren't there."

"I don't need your help, I'm not useless."

"You're not useless, you're stronger than you think, but I'll always be there to protect you from harm, and from dangerous situations because I swore to." He tried to reason with her.

"All right, I forgive you for saving me. But never do it again when I can beat my opponent on my own and when you are not summoned, like today." Lucy forced him to go back to the Spirit World, she had enough of seeing him today. She got more than pissed off that he won her battle, her fight for her.

"You could, really? As I recall, you were nearly defeated. No cross that, if I hadn't come, he would have killed you right there." These were his thoughts while he was on his way back to the Spirit World.

"And my dearest Owner, I'll always be yours, forever until the end of time and no matter what happens." He said that out loud to himself, as he was about to rest.
