And now a random fact about Chuck Norris...
Chuck Norris does not take a bite out of crime. He swallows crime whole and demands seconds.
And now on with the story...I own nothing...although I must ask...How much for Luke?
Taylor of Love...?
Lorelai walked into the diner, and what is the first thing she see? Luke. Stomping around the diner obviously upset about something. Lorelai decided to make it her mission, not that she chose to accept it, to bring Luke out of his mood.
"Hey" she says cheerily.
"Oh, hey" his face softening.
"So, what's the matter?"
"Taylor..." his states his face getting red again.
"Taylor."
"Yes."
"O...K..., so, just...Taylor." she says now a little confused but understanding at the same time...I mean everyone knows that Taylor is a pain in the ass. But it was now just figuring what of the many things he could have done to piss Luke off.
"Well, he comes in here trying to put up flyers yet again for some stupid town thing, but not is he doing that but he's following my around and talking about how you have flyers up at the Dragonfly and why can't we together on town matters 'cause we are engaged...BLAH BLAH BLAH." During his little rant he had managed to get Lorelai coffee and a doughnut.
"Aw, baby. I'm sorry Taylor is being Taylor." she says sympthetically.
"It's not your fault. Don't apologize."
"Hey! I bet we could get him back." she states after a minute or two.
"Yeah. Drop a gum wrapper in front of one of his stores." Now, he is starting to get less angry.
"Or...we could close the diner early while he still has costumers next door and make out right in front of the ajoining window!" Lorelai says with a devilish grin.
"Or right in front of the Soda Shoppe." Luke adds with a smile of his own.
"Why Lucas Danes I do believe I am rubbing off on you." Now they were both smiling from ear to ear. Her mission was complete; she had gotten him to smile "A job well done Gilmore." she thinks to herself.
"Yeah, well maybe you are." He look down at his hands. He knew what she was doing, after being friends for almost 10 years, dating for almost a year and now being engaged he knew her pretty damn well. She was just trying to put him in a good mood. However, what she didn't know is that just seeing her put him in a good mood. After a long pause he finally looks up from his hands.
"Luke, what's wrong?"
"Oh, nothing now...it's just..." Now is the right time he thought.
"What?"
"Lorelai...I love you."
She just looked at him. Even though they were engaged they had never said they loved eachother, it was just kind of implied.
"Are you sure?" she askes just above a whisper.
"Am I sure? Of course I'm sure."
"Well good."
"Good?"
"Yes, good."
"Why good?"
"Because...I love you too.."
The diner was now completely empty as it was close to closing time. Luke just walked around the counter. Gathering her in his arms, he kissed her like he has never kissed her or anyone before. When they broke the kiss, Lorelai was, of course, the one to break the silence.
"Well it's a good thing we love eachother."
"And, why is that?"
"Well, because than May 12th would be pretty pointless."
"What is May 12th?"
"Oh nothing special I just though I would get dressed up in a fabulous white gown for the hell of it." She said winking at him. He kissed her again.
"You set the date?"
"I set the date."
And with that he kissed her one more time before he turned out the diner lights and they headed up the stairs.
END
