Sebastian's Bad Hair Day
5:30am as usual. The deamon butler awoke right on time from his slumber. He did his usual morning business, get up, make the bed, and get dressed. But today, as he gazed upon himself in the mirror, he noticed some thing a bit off. There was a small piece of hair sticking straight up in the air. It was quite distracting, but he shrugged it off, and continued to straighten his tie and brush his hair.
As he ran the brush through his midnight black hair, he noticed the piece of hair jump right back up to its new spot, hovering distractingly above his head. He narrowed his eyes at the hair, and ran the brush over it again. It sprang up once again, leaving the butler fustrated.
Sebastian got an idea, and quickly went into the washroom. He thought for sure this plan would work. Wetting the hair with water slightly, he pushed the vertical strands down to their assigned place on his head. The moment his hand left the hair, it sprung up yet again. He sighed and tried again. The same result occured.
It was now 5:43am. He must be attending to the awakening of the clumsy servants in nearly fifteen minutes, and there was still much to do. But what could he do about the hair? Surely he couldn't work with this distraction upon his head all day!
He considered simply snipping it off, but his master wouldn't approve of the missing lock he was sure. Then again, he couldn't leave it there. What else could he do?
Maybe he could use one of Finnians hair clips? No, that's no good. That would be just as distracting as the hair left alone. Perhaps he could use some sort of gel or even glue? But where would be get such items at such short notice?
This must be resolved quickly! It's already 5:54am! Running out of options, Sebastian nearly gave up. What is there he could do?
Losing hope, the butler slowly made his way over to the servants rooms to wake them. Then suddenly, he got the most brilliant idea!
"Yes! Yes, this could work!" he exclaimed exitedly to himself, temporarily abandonning the task of waking the nearly useless servants.
The butler scurried quickly through the mannor, not wasting any time. This was going to work, he knew it. It was perfect, there couldn't be a better solution to his problems!
Finding the item he was searching for, he let out a sigh of relief. Now he could carry on with his day in ease.
"Good Morning, Young Master. It's time to wake up!" the demon recited cheerfully.
7:30am, time to wake up the young master. Today is extra special, so he must wake up earlier than the usual 8am.
Ciel opened his eyes, and blinked out the sunlight coming from the newly opened window. Another day. The young earl wondered what stupidity today would bring. It always came. He knew it would. He wasn't sure when it would arrive, but he knew it was coming one way or another.
He sat up and turned to his butler... And there it was. First thing in the morning, wonderful.
The dark servant smiled brightly at his master, wearing a pink bonnet on his head.
"Is something troubling you, master?" he questionned innocently. Ciel gave him a face, notioning towards the bonnet. "Ah, yes. Lady Elizabeth will be joining us for breakfest this morning if you do not recall. I thought it would be a pleasent surprise for her." Sebastian smiled again at his master. It was funny, his expression was priceless.
"Ah yes, carry on. Just remember to remove it after her departure." Ciel said without emotion, still too tired to argue with anything.
"Very well young master, as you wish." Plan perfectly exicuted. If he couldn't hide a few distracting stray hairs from his master, what kind of butler would he be?
