Disclaimer: Like I have said before, I own nothing. I invade Joss Whedon's character's minds, and implant crazy ideas! Mua ha ha.
Summary: What if Buffy couldn't kill /Angel/ Angel…how would things turn out? Set during Becoming Pt. II.
Author Notes: I pretty much only wrote this for my beloved Java and her fic titled "Without Hesitation". I know this episode was a very serious one for all you Buffy/Angel shippers, but I figured I should lighten up the dreary mood a bit. I hope you laugh, Jav.

Buffy stared at the man in front of her, not quite believing what she was thinking. Could this be Angel...her Angel? Cautiously, she lowered her sword and called out to him.
Angel was confused; he didn't know where he was. Then, he noticed the nasty slash on her arm, and momentarily forgot his confusion. All he knew was concern...concern for the girl he loved. He reached out to his wounded love, worried about her condition.
His eyes told her all she needed to know. It really was Angel. She melted into his embrace and was finally home. Relief flooded over her as she reveled in his arms. She'd missed his arms. Suddenly, Buffy noticed the demon awakening. Numbness struck her like a 2x4 as she realized this moment couldn't last. Angel was the key to closing the vortex to hell, and she'd have to make sure she used it. "Damnit," she thought, "why is life so cruel and spiteful. I can't send the Angel I love to hell!" Then, she knew what she had to do!
Buffy pulled out of Angel's arms and began taking off her shirt. "Quick, take off your pants. We don't have a lot of time..."
