From fingertip to fingertip. That was how tall he was, the same as his wing span. Every time the huge Dib-human would measure him, every month, Zim would stretch his arms as far as he could, trying desperately to show improvement on his height, especially for his lover.

The effects of the solution that Dib had so graciously made for the small Irken were coming in short bursts- at least an inch and a half every 3 months! But by that rate it would take about 2 years to catch up with the Dib, and Zim wasn't really sure if he actually had that amount of time.

Zim checked the readings on his pack discreetly, hoping his lover would not see. Dib mustn't ever see the problems being a defect had on Irkens.

He mustn't ever know how much pain it is to see others together because they could never actually be together like that- they'd always be lovers behind closed doors and only in front of Gaz and Gir. The only 2 that knew. And they only knew because they faced a similar problem.

Gaz loved the little robot, and the tiny defect loved her back, but no one was to find out. No, how would they react?

Zim let his hands fall back to his sides as he climbed up onto the cabinet and sat to be just about eye level to the 6'2 human.

"Idiot." He said blankly, pulling Dib forward and resting his head into the crook of Dib's neck.

"Yeah, yeah." Dib answered with a playful roll of his eyes, before picking the small Irken up in his arms and tucking him into his own jacket.

Zim relished in the warmth Dib's chest brought to his tiny body. He'd miss this. That didn't mean he didn't want to grow taller for his human.

It just meant that he was content for the moment.

And so was Gir, getting a piggy back from his human, nestling his defective little metal head into the purple-net's hair, giggling about everything and nothing at the same time.

Yes, this was amazing for the moment.

It's short, like Zim. I love ZaDR, especially Big Dib/Small Zim. I also love GaGR. I might write more for this type of ZaDR. If you like ZaDR, OCs, and the young kids from the original story, then you should read my story Lies (Lila).

And you should vote ZaDR on my poll.
