A/N: This is my second drabble for The Ultimate Pairing Drabble Competition. I know, there are a zillion mistletoe fics, but this was what came into my mind for the prompt "disappoint". The pairing is Neville/Luna. Enjoy!

Neville Longbottom was stuck. He was stuck with Luna Lovegood. To be exact, they were stuck under a sprig of enchanted mistletoe in a doorway of the Weasley residence on Christmas Eve.
He swallowed nervously. "It's the first Christmas since Fred... well… and I guess George was trying to cheer people up a bit, and…"
"It's all right, Neville." She smiled enigmatically.
The next thing he knew, she was kissing him. He froze. He hadn't expected that. In fact, he had been fairly certain that she wouldn't have any interest in kissing him, at all, under any circumstances.
By the time he got used to the idea and even realized he liked it, she pulled away. She was still smiling. It was a nice smile, he noted.
"What was… what was that?"
Still she smiled. "We wouldn't want to disappoint anyone."
And then she was gone, probably off to tell the others about her latest search for one strange creature or another. Neville was left standing in the doorway, contemplating what had just occurred. He wasn't quite sure what Luna had meant, but he sure wasn't disappointed. In fact, he was quite certain that he would like to see her again, preferably soon. And what better time than now, at Christmas? It truly was the best time of the year, and the New Year was looking better and better.
