Waves of pain made her writhe. Vincent stared at her as she clutched her stomach, hovering. Everyone else looked on, some gazes pitying, others truly worried. Well, except for Cid and Barret. They were laughing. Barret dropped some money into Cid's palm.
"Someone take me to the damn hospital…" Yuffie moaned. "I think I'm dying."
Some time later, a much-improved ninja returned to 7th Heaven. Everyone looked up as they came in.
"Yuffie, are you sure it was that bad?" Vincent asked, doubtful now that she seemed to no longer be in pain.
"Yes!! Have you ever had one? NO! I doubt you could handle it!" she retorted.
He raised an eyebrow. "Care to bet on that?"
"Why, yes, Vinnie. Let's see how you handle one of those!"
Fifteen minutes later, Vincent, unable to move because of the pain, was quickly transported to the hospital. This time everyone accompanied him.
When Vincent exited the E.R., even paler than usual, he was greeted by looks of amusement. With a low growl, he unceremoniously shoved the money into a smirking Yuffie's hand.
Barret did the same to Cid. Cid grinned, and his following comment was greeted by glares from both victims of his earlier dare..
"See, I told yeh that neither of 'em could handle a whole Ghost Pepper!"

BTW, a Ghost Pepper is the hottest pepper in the world. On the scale, a jalapeno is around 1000. A Ghost Pepper is at least over a MILLION. Can you imagine eating one of those? I can't.
