It was nearly midnight when the young Spencer Reid unlocked his apartment door. He threw his jacket and his bag on the floor angrily. He took his shoes off and headed straight for his bedroom.
He had had a fight with his boyfriend, Derek Morgan. It kept replaying in his head. He couldn't even remember what it was about. He had been on edge for weeks now. Him and Morgan had a fight almost every night. But this one…This one was bad.
Reid had moved in with Morgan, but kept his apartment just incase something like this would happen. He hated it when he fought with Morgan…They both hated it when they fought…Reid didn't know what was going on…
Reid turned the radio on. There was a song starting, and he listened closely to the words, trying to forget about his and Morgan's most recent fight…
I remember when
We used to laugh
About nothing at all
It was better than going mad
Reid smiled as a tear ran down his face. He slowly crawled onto his bed, but kept listening.
From trying to solve all the problems we're going through
Forget 'em all
Cause on those nights we would stand and never fall
Together we faced it all
Another tear came and went. He didn't' know what was causing all the recent fighting between him and his boyfriend.
Remember when we'd
Stay up late and we'd talk all night
In a dark room lit by the TV light
Through all the hard times in my life
Those nights kept me alive
'True…so utterly and completely true…' Spencer thought
We'd listen to the radio play all night
That's what they did a lot…they'd cuddle and listen to the radio all night…
Didn't want to go home to another fight
Through all the hard times in my life
Those nights kept me alive
Spencer pulled a pillow up to his chest and rapped his arms around it. He wished it was Morgan he was holding…He was sick of the constant fighting…
I remember when
We used to drive
Anywhere but here
As long as we'd forget our lives
We were so young and confused that we didn't know
To laugh or cry
Those nights were ours
They will live and never die
Together we'd stand forever
He smiled. He couldn't believe how true this song was. Like it was made for him or something…
Remember when we'd,
…Those nights belong to us
There's nothing wrong with us…
I remember when
We used to laugh
And now I wish those nights would last…
He cried into the silent night, and just as the song ended, his phone vibrated in his pocket.
When he flipped it open, he had a new text message. He opened it. It read:
"Baby, I'm sorry! Please come home. I love you."
