It was always so loud. Near that oaf of a god, Thor, the almighty god of thunder who's only thunder was the crashing of his feet against the ground as he strode around Asgard with his band of "merry", loud, and obnoxious men…and Sif. Everything he did was devoted to noise, always yelling and shouting, laughing the way he did all the way from his rumbling gut out of his throat. Amplified in the metal and stone halls of Asgard's mighty castle where he spent most of his time loafing about when he was not bellowing with anger at some petty little threat. It annoyed Loki, no, it aggravated Loki to the point of insanity. He needed a place to go, to hide away and be himself without loud distractions from Thor. To be free from the thing that drove him mad, so mad he would give almost anything to sew up that loud mouth of Thor's.

But where to find it? Was there even such a place that could give Loki the salvation he so desperately craved for…

Loki strolled leisurely through the gardens in his home, a usually quiet place overrun with flowers of all kinds. Flowers of Asgard, flowers of Midgard, and even flowers from Jotunheim. Well, one flower. The only flower that bloomed in the extreme cold that laid over the lands of Jotunheim. It was a nice soft blue color that was nearly invisible in the snow from over a distance of a body length, and it was Loki's favorite. He reached down and touched the cold petals, feeling their smoothness and the way the flower gave off the chilly atmosphere of his real home. Everyone else in Asgard found the flower cold and depressing, but Loki thought it was the most beautiful of them all.

His moment of peace was not long though, like usual. Here came the bumbling gang of Thor's entourage as they stomp and laugh loudly at silly jokes about monsters and fighting. Bravery and brute strength. Loki let sound a small "tch.." under his breath as he glared openly as they approached the now noisy garden, specifically where Loki was. It wasn't hard for Loki to overhear their conversation of choice: Thor and Sif, again.

Loki's eye brows grew closer together as they grew closer joking loudly at how well Sif accompanied Thor as she hung onto his arm like a child to their mother. Her laugh was silky and annoying with the way her hair flowed around her face and the way Thor latched onto her attention, even encouraging it. Loki couldn't handle it anymore, he had to go. So he turned on his heel and stormed off deeper into the gardens.

Loki glared at the stone pathway as he followed it deeper and deeper down, he was even mad about Thor and his bumbling loudness. He wasn't mad that Thor showed up. He wasn't mad that Thor took his place again and overran it with loudness. He was mad at Sif. The way she paraded around thirsty for Thor's attention…and getting the attention she wanted. 'She's always all over him...she's so inconsiderate, what if Brother doesn't want to be around her! Stupid girl!'

More and more Loki had been feeling his relationship with his brother threatened by her. He just wanted her to go away and leave Thor alone, 'What if because of her, he's never going to be around me anymore?'

Loki had always strived for the moments he could spend with Thor alone and in a quieter setting. Even though Thor was still loud and annoying, it was different when they were alone…just as brothers. Sitting around and talking but not having anyone else interrupt them, that was what Loki wanted all the time but never got.

However, Loki had been back there glaring at Thor and his gang too much. Thor had noticed the glare in Loki's eyes and a concerned look grew upon Thor's face. His eye brows came closer together as his mouth parted a little wanting to call out in protest of his little brothers departure, but no words came as Sif had started to talk again and tugged on Thors arm to regain his wandering attention,

"Don't you think that's great, Thor?" She asked with bright eyes and a smiling face.

"What's great?" He asked back having not been paying attention to his fair-haired companion. To that Sif gave a small sigh at his distractions,

"Just leave him alone, Thor. It's not like Loki likes being around us anyway. All he does is insult us and scoff at our every word like he's better than us." She said growing angry at the still concerned face Thor held, 'He should be mad at Loki, not concerned for that brat's behavior and absence!' Sif thought angrily as Thor turned his back to her and took his arm, looking after the direction that Loki had stormed off in.

"I am sorry my friends…" Thor said and held his hand up as they opened their mouths in protest, particularly Sif. "I must go see what is brothering my brother." He said and his face took a more determined look. Thor usually never got anything out of Loki when he was in a bad mood, which clearly he was. Loki would always brush Thor off like a speck of dust and move the subject onto something that wasn't himself. Thor stepped away from his friends and started off in search of his brother.

Loki had already gained a lot of distance from Thor but when he heard his lumbering steps chasing after him, Loki sprinted to get away. He didn't want to be anywhere near Thor at the moment. Just looking at Thor reminded Loki of Sif's smug looking face as she drooled and swooned over Thor's large and muscled arms. The urge of wanting to be alone drove Loki to a gate, a gate he had never seen before. It was large and golden, much like the rest of the golden city of Asgard. The shiny bars were so perfectly straight and came up to the top in curls towards the middle of the gate. His troubles forgotten for now Loki entered the gate in curiosity of what was inside, it was so perfect it made not a sound, not even the regular squeak of a normal gate. Loki dragged his hand across the bars and looked up at the top of it, feeling much better already. He stepped through the gates entrance and noticed that it was no longer paved with stone. It was bare of Asgards touch and a deep green grass covered the place, along with tall deep hedges that twisted and turned all around, 'A maze..?' Loki thought as he stepped forward more as the gate magically shut behind him.

For hours Loki wandered till he reached the middle, not realizing how long he had been walking he thought to himself. 'How quiet it is here...' The God of Mischief smiled his sly grin and sat down in the middle of the clearing he had found. The clearing submerged in a mass of green hedges all around and found in the middle of a Labyrinth. His Labyrinth now.

Thor had also found the entrance to this elaborate maze. He took one glance at the gate and found no thought to it, nor a thought to the unpaves path and how green and lush everything had spent hours looking for Loki in it, far longer than it took Loki to find the middle. The thick headed god was getting rather frustrated with this game. 'Loki always likes to play games and tricks on me' He thought. Maybe this was just another trick? An illusion that Loki had conjured up to get back at Thor for not spending time with him, perhaps?

Loki stayed in the middle for what seemed like only a short few minutes to him but ages by Thor's counting. He finally felt at peace from his brothers loud nature, he had thought about all that ailed him, Thor…no Sif, Thor wasn't even the problem it was Sif. He had made his peace with Thor, but Sif was another thing. No matter how much Loki thought about her, he only hated her more and more. "What a stupid girl…she's not even worth calling a woman with the way sh-"

"LOKI!" Thor's booming voice sounded out from behind Loki and made him jump up to his feet and spin around in alarm, teeth and fists clenched as he knew exactly who that voice belonged to. Yet when he turned, there was just a wall of green.

'He must be on the other side of the wall..' Loki thought long and hard about answering his brother and in the end decided not to, annoyed that once again Thor had ruined the quiet place he found. Then at the same time he didn't mind it at all that Thor had finally found him. 'No.' Loki thought, He will stand his ground on ignoring Thor.

Yet Thor persisted. "Loki! Please Brother! Are you mad at me? I'm sorry for not spending as much time with you! Just please stop this game! I do not like this!" He circled around the spot where he stood many times searching for a way to find his little brother. Thor was very frustrated that he could not find Loki and was close to the point of just summoning Mjolnir and swinging away all these bothersome hedges.

Loki sighed clearly audible to Thor and went to the wall where his voice came behind and pulled himself up to look over it at his wide eyed brother. "You lumbering oaf. Once again you have ruined my p-"

"Oh Loki!"

Loki made an annoyed face at his brothers interruption, "I have spent hours looking for you in this infernal beast of a place!"

"Why would you look for me? I thought you would be too busy flirting with Sif and bothering the quiet with your loud friends." Distaste was clear in Loki's voice as he glared down at his blonde brother.

"What? Why not? You are my Brother Loki-"

"You always pull that stupid excuse with me. You don't have any idea, do you? You stupid oaf." Loki dropped from his spot on the wall, intent on ignoring his brothers comments from here on out. He turned away from the wall and assumed his position back in the center of the Labyrinth. Loki could hear his clumsy brother trying to climb over the wall, Thor wasn't the best at climbing things and that fact was proving difficult to get over the wall. Just breaking and being loud was the best he could do according to Loki, and Thor was very tempted to try but was also very intent on finally proving Loki wrong at something when he was always usually right.

Thor had gotten a good foothold on the wall even though it was slick and smooth. He was very persistent to get to Loki and talk to him about why he was acting so weird. Thor's face peeked over the wall to just see Loki's back to him as he sat. He grunted in his effort and eventually got his chest up above the edge of the wall, then his hand slipped and his eyes widened. Even Thor new what came after a slip up.

He came crashing to the ground face first, lucky nothing was broken or anything as it takes a lot to break the God of Thunder. Thor caused the ground to shake and a groan came from his bearded face. He had expected Loki to turn around and laugh at him, calling him a "big oaf" yet it never came. After a minute of getting over the shock of landing on his face, Thor got up and walked over to Loki and looked at his younger brothers face.

It was pale, smooth, and peaceful looking, Thor couldn't remember the last time he ever saw his brother like this, if at all ever. Loki's eyes were closed, he was going to keep them closed in hopes that Thor would go away if Loki ignored him enough. No success.

"Brother...Loki?"

Loki sighed "What."

"Are you mad Brother?"

"Yes, now go away."

"No," Thor sat down in front of Loki with and intense look of getting the truth out of this mischievous god. "I will not leave until you explain to me what is wrong."

"If you had a brain, you would already know." Loki snorted and opened his eyes in a cold green gaze to his Brothers bright blue eyes.

Thor took in a deep breath in anticipation of Loki insults will probably be a little harsher than usual, "Please Brother...explain to me what I have done wrong to hurt you"

"Hurt me? What makes you think you HURT me?"

"So you're just being moody for no reason?"

"No!" Loki snapped back without thinking and turned his glare down to the ground.

"Then you are hurt." Thor came to the conclusion from Loki's quick reaction.

"No! I am not, you're just...Annoying" Loki sneered back at Thor, pursing his lips and deepening the glare on his face. It was frightening to see that deep down, Loki really could look like the monster Sif claimed him to be. Thor knew that Loki new of his Jotun origins but thought past that at the simple fact that they were still brothers.

"But I have indeed hurt your feelings Loki." Thor said and grew quiet as his gaze softened and a small smile hinting that he wanted to help came to his face. Loki stayed silent knowing he had slipped up in his annoyance, Thor may be dull headed most of the time but can at least listen and understand the way Loki acts, even if he doesn't exactly say so right off the bat.

"What have I done to avail you so?"

"You're just so annoying! You and your friends always tromping around and making noise, especially that stupid girl Sif who is always making that fake laughter to impress you and make you think your jokes are even slightly funny. Which they are not. I hate how I never have any quiet peace here, you're always making noise!" Loki huffed while taking a standing position with his shoulders square and pulled in tight against his thinner and tall body. He didn't admit the fact that he felt a lot better finally telling Thor that he was too loud and obnoxious for his personal taste and that Sif was the cause of it all. By gods how Loki hated Sif so.

Thor sat there for a minute thinking over what Loki said to him as a dumbfounded look was struck across his face. Finally Thor let out a loud rumbling laughter like thunder and almost fell back laughing. Loki stood there pouting, his face scrunched up in an annoyed glare, through all his smarts he couldn't seem to come to any conclusion on why his words had brought Thor to a rumbling laughter.

After a few breaths Thor finally stopped his laughing, "My dear brother, you feel threatened by Sif? My love for you will always be greater than my love for anyone else!"

Loki puffed up his cheeks a little "NO! That is most definitely not what I meant!" And for once it wasn't his eyes that grew red.

"Then what did you mean, dear brother?" Thor asked with a great toothy smile on his face, he didn't know why but he felt much better all of a sudden as if Loki had forgiven him in a silent gesture after exclaiming his frustration upon him.

"I-i don't know!" Loki huffed out glaring down at Thor, "Why does it even matter? Just go back to your friends Thor! I don't need you here!"

"No Loki," Thor said calmly and got up as well, "Today and all week I will spend time with you." He said and before Loki could move away like a slippery serpent, Thor grabbed his shoulders and pulled him into a great godly hug. A slightly uncomfortable thing as the bigger god had too much mass compared to Loki and his strength squished him against Thor's chest.

"Stop it you..oaf!" The words were squeezed out of Loki as Thor lifted him up and hugged him even tighter around his middle. Loki felt his cheeks start to flush even more but he couldn't do anything about it. His arms were trapped under Thors colossal muscles in his great bear hug. "I..i don't like this..." He said quietly not being used to the invasion of his personal space. Affection of this sorts had been lost to Loki's feelings and it gave him a weird and unusual fuzzy feeling all around. Eventually Thor put Loki down and patted his back,

"Do you feel better now brother?" He asked with a big grin.

Loki looked away from his brother with a flushed face and a big pout on his lips, "...yes, I do."
