Ah, more poetry. I Love poetry, just as I Love Heavy Metal and Ozzy Osbourne.
Romantic poetry and the supposed Prince of Darkness don't mix.
I don't own Avatar: TLA
Staring at me, she says nothing, doesn't need to.
Gaze is so deep it makes me bleed through.
I lower the swords, and with them go my defenses.
Putting any accusations behind me, past tenses.
They say I shouldn't worry about the future.
They say I needn't focus on the past.
Maybe I'll live in the blessed moment, in the present.
Watching the seconds, seeming endless, but they tick by so fast.
Breathless, we hold the reins of time, aloft.
Giving into each others arms, so soft.
It might not be Love, but it damn well feels as if.
Awaking to another Dark Day, you're stiff.
Reach out to me, you know that I'll always be there.
Inside, sure we're Lovers, outside, we're kids without a care.
Seen things that've shaken us straight to the core.
Witness fragments of warfare, but we've been there, before.
So ten years have passed, and the sun rises, and it fell.
Since the day the sky lit up, alight with the Flames of Hell.
We fought through the blackness, even though your blind.
You see me straight through, into the confines of my mind.
So when we wake up crying, we wake up, shaken and cold.
Although we're only barely twenty, down deep we feel so old.
I stare into these eyes, and remember the distant past.
Where we hurried alongside nothing, wanting every moment to last.
Now, we race the sun, try to beat the tides of time.
Every day a challenge, mysteries to be solved, things to find.
We found Love, as did the others, maybe that's what split us apart.
Through crimson tears of bloodshed years, they'll always be aloft in my heart.
I know I don't sound like myself. The kid I used to be.
Before I could understand the harsh world, the teachings of insanity.
Through myriad clockworks, the future beckoned, though we wanted to stay behind.
We transverse time, traveling through memories, folds of illusion in our minds.
I'm jaded, undoubtedly.
And from this, there's no return.
I stare into your sightless eyes.
Once again, why I'm alive, I learn.
