A/N - This is probably one of the more confusing things I've written, and for that I apologise to anyone who bothers to read it. I got the prompt Hermione/Hermione, and I didn't really know how to do that. Hopefully next time I get one of those pairings (I can't remember the word) I'll manage to come up with something better.

"Why isn't this used to fix major problems in the world?"

"Because, Miss Granger, if we fixed everything how would we know to go back and fix them?"

"Um..."

"We do not alter anything of extreme importance; we only use a Time-Turner for trivial instances, and still only rarely. Changing anything could have unimaginable consequences."

"Then why are you letting me have one?"

"You're only using it to take an extra class, Miss Granger. Honestly, how much trouble do you think you could get yourself into with that?"

"Yes, Professor. Sorry."

"One more thing, Miss Granger. Whatever you do, do not let your past self see you."

She'd only ever violated that rule once, though she wished she hadn't.

It had been towards the middle of the year; she'd been overconfident, and she paid for it. She'd turned her Time-Turner the wrong way and somehow wound up nearly three years into the future, right in front of her future self.

She hadn't known at the time what had possessed her future self to act the way she had, but now - now that she was her future self; or... that future self - she was beginning to think that it was only because of the memories of this day she'd had.

Memories of being on the other end; of seeing rather than doing. But there was no more time to dwell on it.

She was coming.
