Stuck on a Feeling

He stands from his kneeling position and faces his opponent who cracks his neck. The audience watches them while sitting on the floor of the dojo. He breathes in and breathes out while he unsheathes his katana blades. Raphael pulls out his sais and positions himself in a ready stance. Leonardo crouches before he attacks. Raphael swiftly block his katana from hitting his arm with the hook of his sais and goes to penetrate him in the abdomen, but the leader quickly turns around and trips him, making the red masked ninja to fall back. He somersaults backwards and runs towards him.

The youngest brothers stare without making any remarks, for their sensei is present. He watches his sons practice, but notices that they are fighting rather different. He strokes his beard as the continued fight arises to its climax. Raphael punches Leonardo's face causing him to misstep his footing, but ultimately brings his left leg to knock his brother to the floor. He stands tall as he continues his heavy breathing. He walks towards him and looks down at him before he lowers his hand to help him up. Raphael slaps his hand away and gets up to walk away from him. Leonardo bows at the leaving opponent before facing his sensei.

"That is all for today." Master Splinter leaves his sons in the dojo and as soon as he leaves the room, Raphael lunges at him.

"What da hell was that about?!" Leonardo flinches and is confused to what he is talking about. Michelangelo and Donatello rise up from their sitting and stride towards them.

"Raphael, what are you talking about?"

"Ya know damn well what I'm talking 'bout?" Leonardo squints and tries to think back to what he means. He widens his eyes before setting his stare at the angry ninja. His heart accelerates, but situates in his place. He knows exactly to what he is so furious about.

Leonardo paces around on the rooftop of the apartment complex, pondering if he should have bothered in making the trip. He reaches the rail and glances down, sighing and continuing his pacing. He should not have come here, but he could not stop thinking about her. She has kept him up all night. He's stuck on a feeling, a feeling of yearning and wanting. He breathes out and decides to finish his mission. Leonardo jumps onto the fire escape and knocks the window. After waiting a couple of seconds, the window slides up and he meets a disappointed April.

"Hello, April." He waves at her with his large hand.

"Oh, Leo, I was not expecting you." She glances behind him.

"Were you waiting for someone else to climb through you window?" He jokes as he goes through and shuts it closed.

"No, it's just that you never visit me here." She steps back and smiles up at him, while he places his weapons by the book shelf. "So, why the visit? Not that I mind." She sits on her bed and pats the mattress to invite him over. He situates himself next to her and breathes out before speaking.

"I just feel like talking, my brothers and sensei don't know I'm here, so if they call I'm off doing sprints." She softly laughs and brushes her hair off to the side. He glances down at his hands and waits for her to say something. The leader feels his heart beating faster when he realizes that he is in her room—alone. He quickly rises, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't be here." He rises and walks towards the window, but not before she grabs his arm, pulling him back.

"Leo, it's okay. You don't have to leave," she softly smiles at him, "c'mon stay." He stares down at her eyes, his favorite feature of her ever since he laid eyes on her. He licks his lips before he sits on the bed once more.

"Did you want to hang out? I know that I've been busy with work and everything and that I haven't had the chance to meet with you all and—" He nods as he listens, but all he can stare at is her full lips as she continues her chatter. Before he can stop himself, he places a hand on her lips, halting and surprising her. She does nothing as he brushes and soothes her red lips with his thick index finger. He moves his gaze from her lips to her bright blue eyes while she continues to do nothing.

Her chest heaves as his heart is ready to jump out of his chest and moves his hand to cradle her head. She blinks and waits to what he is about to do at their first moment of intimacy. Their breathing is the only sound that is heard in the dim room. Without thinking, he leans down slowly and brushes his lips against hers. She is alarmed, but cannot bring herself to push him away. Their lips hover each other's, wanting her to make the decision. With seconds passing by, she pushes her lips onto his making him slightly lean back. Their first kiss is a simple peck, no movements, no passion, just a child-like peck. He shuts his eyes and pushes harder, making her close her eyes as well.

They sit on the bed, her hands on the mattress as his palms are placed on his knees. Even though the kiss is modest and artless, he cannot feel but enjoy it. It is better than what he had imagined. He wants it to last forever, although to his dismay she pulls back with tears wanting to gush out from her eyes.

"I-I can't Leo." She glances down at her hands to softly whisper, "I'm with…with Raph." He looks down as he feels sick, sick that he let his own selfish desire get the best of him. He stands up and quickly walks to the window. The ninja slides it up before glancing back at her.

"I apologize, April. This…I'm really sorry." He leans in to step out, but he halts. His heart races again, not knowing if he should ask the tempting question that he always wanted to know the answer of. "I have to know April. I have to ask you this." He turns to face her while she looks up to him. "If…if I approached you first, if I spent more time by your side, would you have chosen me? Would you have given me a chance?" He did it. He asked the question that he desperately wanted to ask ever since he found out that Raphael had beaten him to it. He would never have imagined that they had the possibility of ever being with someone, of ever finding romance, of ever finding love. If he would have known before, he would have taken initiative.

He stands as he waits patiently for her reply. He does not want to rush her as he wants an honest answer. After what seems like an eternity, she looks up to him with tears falling from her blue eyes, breathing in before she whispers, "yes." He feels his heart stop and holds in a breath. He feels like running, he feels like shouting, but he ultimately feels like punching himself and wishing to go back in time. He smiles and turns to climb out of the window. Prior to shutting it closed he informs, "thank you." He flees, he runs, he jumps across the rooftop as he tries to block this moment with her, but ultimately feels terrible for betraying his brother.

"I'm sorry, so sorry Raph. Please don't be mad at April, it was my doing." He breathes out prior to dropping his weapons to the floor and staring into his sibling's green golden envious eyes. "But I had to know."

I had this written out for a while now. Just a little something, something I thought of when I was sitting in a lecture. I want to explore more of this, and there aren't a lot of 2k14 leopril fics out there. I mean, I'm still a hardcore raphril shipper, I just find this pairing interesting, especially since Leonardo and Raphael have different roles when it comes to being with a girl.

Part Two?

P.S: I might re-edit this later.
