Note: This is a new story I have decided to write, it is my rendition of the story from MK '9'. I'll start it where Sindel is about to crush Stryker's skull in.

Chapter 1

Inside of a church, the Resistance Fighters were taking it to the the 'Brotherhood of the Shadow', Kurtis Stryker was giving as good as he was getting until Sindel tackled him down to the floor and was about to crush his skull in. But, the tough cop suddenly grabbed her wrist, rolled over on top of her and pulled his service pistol. He pointed it at her and was about to fire when something told him not to so he smacked it across her face knocking her out.

Then he got up and started firing on his enemies. He was throwing stun grenades and was hitting them left and right. "Are you alright?" Said Sonya Blade.

"Yeah," he said as he breathed heavily. He then turned Sindel over pulled out a pair of cuffs and slapped them on her. "Someone got a gag?" Nightwolf ripped a piece of cloth off one of the tapestries and handed it to him. Stryker tied it over her mouth and gagged her. "Let's see if we can finally get some answers." So they interrogated one of the members to find out that Shao Kahn was coming and that they had needed to die for Quan Chi.

"I Guess I Ruined Your Master's Plans Huh?" He said and started to leave.

"Wait," said Kitana. "You're going to face Shao Khan yourself?"

"If I have to, yes." He said, "find that lightning man!" He took off for where Shao Kahn was going to be.

"Johnny and I will look for Raiden," said Sonya. "You guys keep Sindel safe, maybe we can get her mind straight." They took off.

Meanwhile Liu Kang and Raiden were fighting against each other. Because Liu didn't believe that Raiden said Shao Kahn had to win. "Impossible!" He said, "you're going to destroy us all!" He charged up an attack to use on the Elder God.

"Stop Liu Kang!" He said, but it was too late and Raiden attacked to defend himself frying the former Shaolin Monk. On his dying breath he looked at the Elder God.

"You… have… killed… us all." Raiden laid Liu down as Sonya and Johnny ran over to him.

"LIU!" Said Johnny.

"My god!" Said Sonya.

"We need to hurry!" Raiden said.

"Yeah, I'll say. The cop's going after Khan." Said Johnny.

"What?"

"Yeah," said Sonya. "We found out what was going on and Khan's on his way." Without his knowledge Raiden's medallion started to fix itself.

"Come, we have to stop him." He said and they went to where Khan was going to show up.

Meanwhile Stryker showed up to the roof of a skyscraper. An Apache helicopter had crashed on to the roof and dragon like monsters were flying around attacking. He was loading up, getting ready to fight. Just then a portal had opened up and out he stepped. He was tall, around seven feet and muscle bound. The cop looked up at him, not backing down. "So THIS is who the Elder Gods brought to stop me?" He roared, Stryker looked at him defiantly and ready to fight. So they went at it, Kurt was using everything in his arsenal from his nightsticks to his grenades.

They were beating each other to a pulp. But Khan started to get the upper hand. Kurt was down and Khan held his warhammer over Stryker's head. "I Win!" He said, Stryker looked at him and spat out blood. Then that same something told him to agree.

"Yeah," he said. Just then Khan was about to crush his head with his hammer, the Elder Gods sent dragons at him and they attacked. By this time, Sonya, Raiden and Johnny showed up.

"What Is Going On?" The dragons surrounded Khan and started to strip him of his powers. "NO!" The powers started to flow into Stryker's body, healing him. The dragons took his weapons and gave them back to him. His guns suddenly glowed gold and he was ready to fight. His outfit changed into SWAT team armor and he was ready to go.

"Let's Finish This!" He said and the fight was on. Stryker didn't stop he was relentless and then Khan was on his back. "Aw, looks like you're all out of continues." Then he pulled the trigger, blowing his head off. Then he dropped to his knees tired. Sonya and Johnny went over to him to help him up. Raiden looked at his medallion and saw it was fixed.

"He was the one." He said softly.

The next morning, Kurt had woke up in his bed face down. Just then the phone was ringing off the hook. He reached over and answered it. "Yeah?" He said tiredly.

"Kurt, come in today." Said his chief.

"Chief I'm tired, I had this weird dream last night."

"There are some people here that want to talk about your 'dream'." Kurt sighed.

"Alright, I'll come in." He hung up and got up. He took his shower and got dressed in a T-shirt, jeans and boots. He walked out his apartment and was surrounded by Special Forces agents. "Uh, can I help you guys?"

"Lt. Blade asked us to escort you to headquarters." Said one of the agents. So they walked down to a black SUV and got in. The ride to headquarters was uneventful as he looked outside the window to see the city was torn up.

"Wait a minute," he said.

"Sir?" Said an agent.

"The city looked like this in my dream."

"You'll have your answers once we get to HQ."

Once at his HQ, Stryker had walked in, to applause and cheers. He was looking around to see other cops cheer him. One cop that had trained him when he was younger had went to him. "I Knew You Could Do It!" He said as he wrapped an arm around his shoulders.

That was when he had seen Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage and Raiden in his Chief's office. He walked right in. There was also a very beautiful woman with long black hair and brown eyes. She was dressed in a powder blue outfit and looked every bit as a princess, along with her was a sexy, tanned, young woman, with long black hair in a long braid and brown eyes, dressed in a green harem girl's outfit.

Lastly was the woman he had stopped from caving his head in, she was in a black and purple bodice, a sleeveless cloak and boots. She had a reverse skunk like hair color in a long ponytail and pupil less eyes. Kurt was a little on edge at seeing her. I mean sure, the woman almost caved his head in who wouldn't be? The chief was a burly man with graying brown hair and gray eyes. "Come in Kurt," he said. "allow me to introduce you to…"

"Lt. Sonya Blade," Kurt interrupted. "Johnny Cage, the Thunder God Raiden, Princess Kitana, her bodyguard Jade and her mother Sindel. But how do I know this? Was it really a dream?"

"No, Kurtis Stryker," said Raiden. "It was not."

"We were part of a resistance force that would protect Earthrealm from a megalomaniac that would destroy it." Said Sonya.

"And you did it." Said Johnny, "you killed him."

"Wait you mean," he looked at Sindel. "She was going to cave my head and…"

"I was not in control of myself, Officer Stryker," she said. "and for that I am sorry. I thank you for showing restraint."

"My mother, was controlled by a sorcerer named Quan Chi." Said Kitana, "he wanted our bodies to control as well."

"But for him to do that," said Jade. "We had to die."

"So, I ruined his plans?"

"Yes you did, Stryker." Said Sonya.

"So, now what?" He asked, Kitana went over and sat down on his lap.

"Now, we heal." She said.

"Officer Stryker," said Sindel. "For trying to kill you I offer my daughter, Kitana as your bride and her guard as your concubine."

"Your highness," he said. "I…"

"I will not take 'no' for an answer." Kurt sighed.

"Lucky Dog!" whispered Johnny, Sonya elbowed him in the ribs. "OW!" Kurt didn't know what to do, he was a divorced father of two little girls and now became the savior of Earthrealm.

"Oh yes, before I forget." Said Raiden, he bowed to Stryker. "The Elder Gods thank you for defeating Shao Kahn."

"But, I was only doing my job." He said.

"Well that was one hell of a job." Said Johnny, Kurt sighed.

"I take it everyone knows?"

"Yep," said his chief. "there is a parade scheduled for you. The Mayor want to give you the key to the city."

"Also, the President wants to give you the Medal of Freedom as well." Said Sonya, Kurt nodded his head and agreed to everything.

"I guess, I should get to know my fiancees better huh?" Kitana and Jade smiled softly at him as Kitana kissed him on the lips softly.

A/N: Over 1500 words for a first chapter, alright! If you read my bio page, you know Stryker is one of my favorite underdogs and he got no respect after MK3. I thought it was time for the cop to get some.

So, I decided to use his MK9 ending as the cannon ending and had him fight Sindel off so she wouldn't cave his skull in but, he shows restraint and not fill her with lead.

I didn't like Liu Kang so that was why he got Kitana. I hope you enjoyed this first chapter.
