A/N:

hey! well this is just a short Tonks/Remus drabble... enjoy!

Tonks was sprawled out on her bed, staring up at the ceiling, exhausted from an extremely long day at work.

'Five arrests in one day! Five!' She thought to herself. 'That's more than Dawlish can do in a bloody week!'

"Tonks...?" came Remus' voice as he walked nervously into the bedroom, standing in the doorway

"Yes dear?" she replied, sitting up and walking over to him.

"I, er, want to ask you something..."

She didn't reply but looked up at him curiously.

He took a deep breath before diving into his speech. "Well... when I first met you I was, for loss of a better word, a wreck. I didn't trust anyone, I hated myself for what I am and I distanced myself from everyone; believing I was too dangerous and that I didn't deserve happiness." He took another deep breath, calming his nerves. "But when you came into my life you made me see different. You made me live a little, made me believe in myself. You always managed to brighten up my day, no matter how hopeless it seemed. You always knew the right things to say and do... Even when we argued or when I left you would always take me back and forgive me. I'm so grateful for that. I don't know how I would have coped without you. You've changed my life and I can't imagine you not being in it. In fact, if I'm honest with myself, you are my life. Dora, you're my entire world." He paused, watching as she looked up at him, smiling softly as tears trickled down her face. He got down on one knee and pulled out a small box from his pocket, holding it out in front of him. He opened it to reveal a simple silver ring with one small diamond placed in the centre which probably belonged to his Mother, it was simplistic yet so beautiful. She just stood there, open mouthed not sure what to say. "Nymphadora Tonks, will you marry me?" He spoke, his voice shaking slightly from nerves.

After pausing for a second she squealed happily and pulled him into a massive hug.

"I thought you'd never ask." She said into his chest, tears of happiness falling down her cheeks while her hair turned an even brighter shade of pink. "Of course I'll marry you!"
