Its Not What It Looks Like, and Yet It Never Was

What if, in third year, when Draco stepped up to face the Bogart, it turned into his father? What steps would the school have to take to keep him out of the clutches of his father? And more importantly, what happens to everyone's favorite ferret in the months afterward? M for violence and maybe explicit content.

Draco knew only one thing with absolute certainty in his life. He didn't matter. Not to his family, not to his school mates, he knew this. Most of the attention he got was negative. But he was so starved for it, that he would take it, no matter the disposition. He wished that someone would notice. He'd even sometimes wished for it to be Potter, on those deep dark days. Just someone, please notice me, please stop him help stop please. No I'm sorry please no, no, no, no.

It hurt, yes. But he got used to it. After going his whole life with minimum care and attention, he was used to it. It still hurt though. Oh god, make it stop, please I can't. No please, make him go away, please some save me I can't handle it please please please please-

But he was a Malfoy, and Malfoys didn't show weakness. And so that part of him was locked up, far down, deep down, and forgotten by all but himself. He adopted the "snobbish prat" attitude as a defence mechanism. It did nothing to stop the thoughts that plagued his mind. No no no no no no no no NO! Stop please! Don't do this, please! No!

And so, the Malfoy heir met the famous Harry Potter, and his friends. He met the Weaslys and one Remus J. Lupin. If only someone thought to look past his shields. They would have seen how broken he was. No please I can't do that, don't make me so that please no I don't want to please-

AN\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ So this is kind of the prologue, gives a little hint to the thoughts of Draco. There are going to be mentions of child abuse, suicide thoughts, suicide attempts, andmaybe a little rape.This is going to be a dark story, that might not end in a happy ending. I actually plan on doing a series. One fanfiction for each book. It starts in third year, when the DADA class faces the Bogart. After that it completely goes in a different direction for a while before Sirius becomes a major plot point again.
