"Her-my-nee…" Ron muttered in his sleep before rolling over and snorting lightly. Hermione giggled, they'd been dating for three years and he was still dreaming about her. "Er-my-kneee!" he said a little louder and scrunched up his nose, she chuckled and untangled herself from the bed sheets as she reached for her wand. Padding across the cream carpet, she pulled her hair up into a ponytail and donned his shirt; still lying in a heap by the door from the night before. His reflection was visible in the full length mirror that stood in the corner by the window, the early morning sunlight bouncing off his red hair and highlighting the contours of his face. It wasn't exactly possible for a man to be beautiful was it? She shook her head lightly and smiled to herself before making her way towards the kitchen.
Ron gently wrapped his arms around her waist as she peered over the old cook book, "Ah taking advice from Mum I see?"
"Mmm?" she looked up at him distractedly, "Oh yeah, I wanted to try that bread recipe, you know the one you like? But I can't seem to get it right!"
"Let me see…" he glanced at her ingredients over her shoulder, and then back at the old leatherbound book. "Ah it kills the yeast if the water is too hot, you just want it luke-warm" he slid the wand out of his pocket and tapped it on the jug once. "There you go, and you have to cover it with a floured cloth and let it rise for an hour once its all mixed together…". They worked in companionable silence for several minutes, Hermione loved cooking with Ron, once he realised that his mother wouldn't be around to cook for him forever he began to study her battered old cookbooks religiously, and he had real talent.
"So…" Hermione smiled cheekily "We have an hour till it can go in to bake, any ideas as to what we could do until then?" she threaded her fingers through the belt loops on his jeans and pulled him closer.
"Well I don't know about you, but I haven't even had breakfast yet." He said sincerely. Hermione pulled back slightly and raised an eyebrow.
"You're kidding right?" Ron hoisted her up onto the counter behind her and put his mouth to her ear.
"You look amazing in my shirt, but even more amazing in nothing at all," he whispered, and left a teasing trail of kisses down her neck before lifting her off the counter and onto his hips, kissing her passionately as she ran her fingers through his hair.
